    Tortillas Made of...

So I decided I'm going to start grilling my chicken rather than baking it, and it got me to thinking about making burritos. Home cooked chicken breast, guacamole, and salsa or maybe just tomato.

Does anybody know where I might find tortillas that are acceptable in a healthy lifestyle? What kind of tortillas should I look for?

I'm looking for something large enough to make good sized burritos, as opposed to something like those small corn tortillas.
I don't know exactly what is bad about the flour tortillas, but I've gotten the impression that I should avoid them.(simple carbs I think)

Anyway, with the right ingredients I think burritos would be really convenient and delish, so advice would be appreciated.

You should ask DOMS. He has a lot of good friends that make burritos for a living.

I've never had their tortillas, but there bread tastes great and is extremely healthy.

Ezekiel tortillas, that sounds pretty good. I have heard of the ezekiel bread before from Jay Cutler lol. Thanks for the reply, now I have a name I can use to hunt down some good tortillas.

Sweet thanks. There is a Henry's, Trader Joe's, and Baron's around here I imagine one of them ought to have it.

Mission and El Pasado are a couple of brands we've used here. Although, depending on your goals, you might want to take a peep at the carb and fat content in most tortillas.

I've used mission in the past and you might as well use low carb bread if I'm not mistaken, unless you just like wraps.

How about this...instead of using tortillas, which are not entirely unhealthy, but not the greatest idea either...try something completely out of the box. Make burritos, or other wrapped foods, using things like banana leaves, collards, or romaine lettuce. Once you get the hang of it, you can produce "hand helds" that are just as easy to make and convenient.

That is was I ended up buying the other day. They taste just fine, although they're a little bit small and they fall apart very easily.

Netrition.com - The Internet's Premier Nutrition Superstore! has several healthy (also lo-carb) tortillas. Great prices too!

I bought some Mission Carb Balance Whole Wheat Burrito Size tortillas and I have to say they're delicious, huge and stayed in one piece after heated and stuffed. Pleasantly surprised, I was.
