Skin Firming

Hello everyone!
This is my first time using this forum and I'm hoping I will be able to get the response I want! Back at the start of December 2007 I weighed 260 pounds and was what I consider extremely obese. Today I weigh 183 pounds and that has come through really hard work and a complete diet reconfiguration. At this point I am getting in to serious training but there is one problem I am having. I have excess skin still on my stomach. It is really upsetting because I work my butt off and really want to reap the benefits of rock solid abs but I do not think I will be able to get them. Everyone looks at me and tells me I look great, and I know I do look like I am in good shape but it seems like it will be impossible to get the definition I want at this point.
I guess my main question would be is there anything I can do to help my skin shrink down to my body size. The extra skin is not a tremendous amount and you can see definition in my abs now but not nearly as much as I want. Is there a creme that really works? I do not want to have to resort to surgery (because I am a poor college student and I am terrified of the repercussions).
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated! Thanks!
