Countdown to a Cruise

So my wife won a cruise through her work and we're heading to the Mediterranean in exactly 30 days. My question is, for the next 30 days, what is my best course of action to get as lean as possible? 2 cardio sessions a day? no carbs? I'm willing to try just about anything to look good for the trip. Thanks in advance!

I would diet fairly normally, you can make alot of progress in 4 weeks.

I wouldn't go no-carb, but low carb along with a cheat meal/carb up day scheduled once a week. Monitor fat loss between 1-2 lbs a week. What is your weight/height/bf estimate?

Cardio twice a day isn't nessecary, and it could be counter-productive. I assume you are weight training. Metabolic conditioning/circuit training would be a better training tool for fat loss IMO.

If you want a really quick blast-off, nothing beats a protein sparing modified fast; very little cardio, two lifting workouts a week, all protein all the time (with refeeds) and you'll get as lean as you possibly can given the time frame.

It's part of how we dieted down Mercaba for his recent show.

What condition are you in now? How lean, how much do you weigh, how tall, how long you been training, what kind of training do you do?

Thanks for the responses, I'm 6'1 221 (as of this morning), bf around 15%. I've been training for 5 years or so. For the last few weeks I've been doing this type of split:
Mon- Chest/Back
Tues- Bi's and Tri's
Wed-Off/Cardio
Thurs-Shoulders/legs
Fri-Chest/Back
Sat-Bi's and Tri's
Sun-Off/weekly handball game

I do some sort of cardio 5 days a week. Usually I run a 3k or 5k and then jump on the stairclimber for 20min. I also play handball for 2 hours two or three days a week.
Built, could you possibly elaborate a little bit more on your (very little cardio, two lifting workouts , and protein all the time).

MeatZatk, it's Lyle Mcdonald's "rapid fat loss", and I have examples of it on my blog.

It sounds dreadful when you read it, and if I hadn't tried it myself I would NOT have believed it, but your appetite shuts OFF and you lose more fat than you would eating more food and doing more activity on a rapid cut. It's specifically for short term - at least, for lean people like us, fatter people can safely keep it going for longer periods of time and they have different protocols to follow.

A few examples. If you want to do it, I'll help you set it up for you. Lemme know.

yeah, I'd be interested in trying it out. I just don't want to develop our pics from the trip and see my fat ass taking up too much room. Gotta look good for the little lady!
