do I continue to diet in the same way as workout days on off days? Or do I lighten up a bit? If I do do I have to make it up ???

I eat the same whether working out or not.

It isn't going to make a significant difference either way in the scope of things.

Obstacles don't have to stop you. If you run into a wall, don't turn around and give up. Figure out how to climb it, go through it, or work around it.

Your body is repairing on off days, why not feed it enough?

Well, flawed as it may be, my issue is that if I need to consume a set amount of protein and say ... calories / week, and I off-diet some then, should I attempt to try and make it up so that I make the quota for the week?

In my twisted mind it makes sense.

Be an intuitive eater...eat when clean, healthy foods when your hungry. I eat less on off days, because I'm not as hungry, which to me makes perfect sense. In the hour after a workout, I'm starving...I have a nice sized shake immediately PWO and then a meal about an hour after. On an off day, though, I don't have that heightened appetite/need for nutrients. I feel less hungry, so therefore I eat less.

me personally, I drop my carbs to .5g a lb of LBM when off. I keep the protein at 1.2g, and fats at a constant 30g a day.

Eat well, train daily, die anyway.

Its what works-for me at least. If I utilize more fats in my diet-my weight goes on a standstill. If I decrease it, not by much-10-15g, I have begun to lose my customary 1-1.5 lbs a week. Fats also are an obvious source of calories. Take in too much-what happens? The weight can either go up, or stay at a standstill.
I'm sure I'll get some slack-but understand that I strongly believe that fats are crucially important.

You don't get fat from fat. You get fat if your calories go up. If you increase your fat and don't drop cals from somewhere else, then, d'uh!

Your dietary fat seems insanely low to me. I'd be chewing my ARM off! You feel good though, hey? So interesting to me when I see people who can do this.

I never said you get fat from fat-that's ludicrous. I am only implying that added calories-be they fat, protein or CHO. Again fats are crucially important-I never said stray away from fats, but to be precise, watch your calories...then again, I could have reiterated what i said and more or less, watch calories. I am only giving you a personal opinion.

When I read that, it looked like you were saying it was the increase in fats that brought your weight loss to a halt.

Is that not what you meant?

No, watch calories is indeed the golden rule; this is fact, not just your opinion.

I imagine that when you raised your fats you didn't drop your calories from other sources then. Is that what you meant? If so, then no shit Sherlock, you gonna get FAAAaaat!

I keep carbs a little low so I can keep the fats high. I imagine you do the opposite. You find this more comfortable, or do you find it makes you hungry when you cut this way?

Ahhh, gotcha.

I find it remarkable that some find low fats like this comfortable, but I have to accept that some do.

Most don't, at least from what I've read. But some do. Such a puzzle!

On average over the last month, I have been having over triple the amount of fat as you. It helps me get my cals up, as I'm on a slow bulk.

Interestingly, my fats have also been nearly triple. I'm cutting.
