    Fiber question

recently i purchased a intraworkout mix i will be trying

    gaspari's
    SizeOn

anyways it contains "4.7g" of dietary fiber

i already try to consume around 20 grams of fiber a day through my diet
(salads, oats, whole grain pastas and rice, ect)

    my question is

do the 4 grams of fiber in this mix count?

    and aside from that
what about the 10 grams in my meal replacement mix?(bsn syntha-6, 2 scoops daily)

if so this would mean im consuming around 14g a day im not even counting...

    not worried just wondering

and what are some thoughts on Gaspari SizeOn?

    Uhhh....

If it's dietary fiber and you ingest it, yes, it counts as part of your daily fiber intake.

Does that answer your question or do I just not have any idea what you are even asking?

I have a question, VN. How do I know if I've had the right amount of fiber for me?? What should my turds look, feel and smell like?

    Okay...

The most obvious risks of too little fiber are diverticulosis (and diverticulitis, which is associated with a higher risk of intestinal cancer), appendicitis and other inflammitory intestinal diseases. (Obviously there are many more subtle conditions associated with poor fiber intake, but recommendations are based on the most direct and appreciable symptoms).

Normal frequency is somewhere between 1 and 3 days.

If your bowel movements are thick or sticky, you are at a high risk of the diseases mentioned above and you probably have a poor diet low in veggies, fruits and grains. Likewise if they come out in small pieces rather than as one mass.

If they resemble coffee grounds, you either have some form ulcerative collitis (usually cause by an infection called helicobacter pilori) or you are having a GI bleed.

    Hope that helps.
