Refeed

I have been cutting for quite a while, and have been good with sticking to eating small portions, healthy choices for the last few weeks. Would a refeed with some cheese pizza for dinner tonight be out of the question? I know this sounds goofy, but I have no cheated for a long time, but if I get some feedback, I would not mind having my usual spinach chicken salad for dinner tonight!! Let me know what you all think. Thanks!

That's a cheat meal, not a refeed.

Not that I'm against cheat meals!

Technically, a refeed is low fat starches and glucose with moderate protein. I'm having one on Sunday.

Mmmm… teriyaki chicken on white rice…

So give me an example of a refeed that sounds kind of like a cheat meal? Or just an example would be fine.

Refeeds are deliberate periods of carbohydrate overfeeding for the purpose of topping up glycogen and leptin.

For instance, Lyle McDonald's guidelines for PSMF and UD2.0 range from 2-3g/lb LBM of carb over a 5-hour period, to a two-day refeed with 6g/lb the first day and 3g/lb the second.

Cheat meals are for your sanity. If you can get away with the odd one, you should.

If you'd be just as happy with your salad, just have your salad.

I only have pizza when I feel like I'm gonna die without it.

And by "pizza" I mean vodka martinis.

I have a 5-hour refeed every five days with what I'm doing right now.

Sunday, carb-o-rama baby!!!

It's a bad joke, I'm sorry. Hawaiian pizza kicked my ass!
