I just graduated in computer science but have had trouble landing a job. Because my fiancee's teacher salary is barely cutting it, I had to get a couple of part time jobs, both considered manual labor (a lot of heavy lifting, running around and sweating). Since I have started the second job this week, I have lost 2-3 pounds in a couple of days. I am on a cut, but I realize that at that rate, most of that weight loss is most likely muscle mass. I imagine that I burn A LOT of calories working both jobs and going to the gym especially since I feel hungry the entire day.

I try my best to be prepared as far as bringing food and such, but working at 3 am and not getting home until 6pm or even 7:30 after the gym, I see myself forgetting to bring enough food just like I did today.

I know I am not the only one that does this, so any tips to help me get through the day? Since I am burning so much throughout the day, is what I eat as important? I ask that question because driving to my second job, burger king was looking a lot better than the peanut butter + whey + oats shake that I was guzzling.

This isn't a "is it ok to eat fast food" thread. I have lost 35 pounds since July by staying away from fast food and alcohol. I just need advice for the times that i do forget or don't have time to prepare my meals. If it still is calories in vs. calories out, I would still be in a large deficit which I need to work on decreasing.

Starve, or eat bad?
