anything besdies egg whites for breakfast?

I'm getting sick of this stuff. Been eating it basically everyday for the past 3 or so years. Don't wanna do whey in the morning because I already get a shake pre and post workout. Any ideas?

I eat a hamburger patty. It's fits my particular caloric and macro needs. It has 29g protein, 20g fat, 0 carbs, at 300 cals. I have that and a half cup of oatmeal (with Splenda) every morning.

I eat 4 times a day with a caloric goal of 2200, with a protein/fat/carb of 30%/40%/30%. I get just a tad over 1 gram of protein per pound of body weight each day.

what are you looking for in terms of macros during breakfast?

if you are only consuming egg whites.... you want protein and fat with little to no carbs...... im guessing

so maybe a can of tuna, small piece of chicken (reheated ?), lean ground beef fried up with some onions and vegetables. just be creative dude

or maybe just SUCK IT UP and do the they.

My morning shake consists of; whey protein, hemp protein, glutamine, recovery (joint support), veggie greens (greens food powder), oatmeal and olive oil.

Sounds nasty, but it actually is quite tasty and the way I portion it, balances the macros out just perfectly!

I'm not just consuming egg whites. I usually go 6 whites 1 whole and half a cup of oats. but since I'm looking to gain weight I would have to up the carbs and fats.

And yea, I'm not so creative when it comes to food. Usually I just eat plain ass things.

I really created this thread to see what other ppl eat besides egg whites and whey for breakfast to give me some ideas.

    Well as far as a protein source you have these choices;

protein powder, poultry, beef, lamb, fish, pork (i would stay away from pork though)

Maybe you could make a 3 egg omlette with some fish or chicken in it, chop up some onions, garlic and ginger, some low fat cheese maybe, and some red, green and/or yellow peppers. Season with some black pepper or whatever you like. I have this awesome hot sauce that goes great with eggs that has virtually ZERO calories.

If it fits within your macros, you can always chop up and fry a potato in some olive oil for some killer hash browns on the side

I have a feeling in 2 more years i will get sick of egg whites too. I have been eating them with oatmeal for breakfast every morning for about a year now.

I know this is not the answer you are looking for but I will tell you how I make my egg whites more enjoyable haha...

For this one you need to have the liquid carton egg whites and cook them yourself. What I do is cook about 1 1/4 cup of egg whites (about 6 eggs) on the stove. While they are cooking I get out a whole wheat wrap, spinach leaves, and slice up half a tomato. I end up making myself a sort of healthy breakfast burrito I guess. Egg whites, spinach leaves, tomato slices and oh MAN is that a tasty breakfast.

I realize this is lacking in fat, so if you are looking to add some fat to your diet you can drink some whole milk or do what I always do when I want fat... eat some natural peanut butter =)

+1 to whoever said cottage cheese is the nastiest thing ever created. I swear, that shit is poison. First of all, it tastes like it's rancid. Secondly, the texture is completely nauseating. I tried it once five years ago, and almost puked. I tried it again last year, and got food poisoning that night, about 3 hours later. I'm done with cottage cheese, no doubt.

Try the "Friendship" brand CC. All of the other ones taste disgusting to me, but that one tastes kind of like string cheese.

Mexican salsa is your friend. Trust me. I actually enjoy my eggs now, and salsa doesn't screw up your macros. I;ve been doing the salsa thing for a year now and I'm not tired of it yet.

The taste of cottage cheese isn't the problem for me, it's the texture. I need something like an apple to counter the mushiness.

from the research that i did the other day, thats not true. and unless you can show me some studies otherwise im going to have to call bullshit

"also, the old myth that pork is more indigestible than beef is likewise not true. that was just another way to warn people off pork when it was garbage fed.. and as a matter of fact, pork is more digestible than beef."

here is the thread i posted from the reading/research i did

i just hate the time it takes to prepare eggs. you really cant make them ahead of time cept for hard boiled and that sucks too. i eat them every other day or so. making a couple eggs is quick. 5 is just annoying. ribs give you the 'itis but they dont take longer to digest as far as i know.

i got sick of eating just whites all the time too so now i just eat the whole egg... usually 2-3 with some whites mixed in... if you leave the yolk runny it definitely adds some flavor to the whites... but now i'm on a kick where i make a big bowl of oatmeal and add in a couple scoops of chocolate whey and stir it up... it's surprisingly really good and oatmeal has never tasted better!

1/2 cup cottage cheese, 1 tbsp p/b, tsp cocoa powder and walden farms chocolate sauce. Damn good and damn filling. Side with a complex carb.
