Maybe beef jerky
I've been struggling to come up with a filling and nutritious afternoon snack. Lately i've been filling the void with a protein bar (builder bar) and/or a piece of fruit, but i need something with less sugar, but substantial. I already drink a protein shake as a mid morning snack, post workout and before bed so i'd rather not add another in. Any advice?
Here's a copy of my diet with the protein bar.
7:45 Oatmeal and Egg Whites
10:15 Protein shake (with or without fruit)
1PM 6 oz. Chicken Breast with Baked or Sweet Potato
4 PM Protein Bar
5 PM PreWorkout Gaspari Superpump 250
7:30 PM Protein Shake
8:30 Pm Chicken/Fish w/ 1 cup fibrous veggies
10PM Casein Protein
Maybe beef jerky

lately my afternoon snack/pre-work out meal has been a bowl of oatmeal with chocolate protein powder mixed in and some almonds... seems to be working well so far...
