    Olive Oil uses.

I need more ways to use Olive Oil in my diet. I few that I have come up with is use Olive oil when cooking my eggs in the morning. Are there any others? Also mixing olive oil with red wine vinegar to make a salad dressing was another idea.

In protein shakes? For real? wtf man, gross.

I use it when I boil rice, add a little to the mix and the rice is a lot better and less dry.

No its not bad in protein shakes at all. Just mix really well.

You could use it on sandwiches instead of your normal condiments

Great ideas. I will start adding it to my shakes. I do not drink coffee. Good or bad?

Yea, in my opinion it's good that you're not a coffee drinker. I shy away from coffee because I don't want to develop a dependence. I've heard of people who are so used to starting their day with it having headaches and feeling like ass if they miss their morning cup. That's not something I ever want to have to be burdened by. I don't think it's terrible for you, but I'd just rather not go down that road. Tall glass of water in the morning does the trick for me.

I don't do this on a diet, but there is nothing like dipping a fresh loaf of french bread in some olive oil.

Also, putting some olive oil in lentil soup is pretty good as well.

Im greek and I live with my grandparents who are straight from the mother land, so its easier for me to name times when we DONT use olive oil.

Literally every single potted meal (stews, vegetable concoctions, beans, etc) has a hefty dose. We make our own salad dressing wich includes olive oil. Heck, you can even slice a tomato, drizzle some olive oil on it, some oregano, pepper, some garlic salt, feta and some fresh bread and ur good to go.

Pretty much every hot meal that we consume, has seen some olive oil. Its actually a problem sometimes... my grandma doesn't even know what a carb is, and when I tell her to use less olive oil when frying foods, she tells me to stop acting silly, theres "nothing to olive oil".

hmm... 120 cals and 14 grams of fat per tablespoon.... but , nothin really to it. Same with Butter... its "natural". Ah Old people are so very sweet.

I always laugh at the "it's natural" argument. Poison Ivy is natural and I'm not about to eat or smoke it :-)

Sorry to bump an old thread but this is what the search function gave me. Built suggests Olive Oil shots quite often on these forums so I wanted to see some different options.

I second the shake idea. It thickens them up a little bit and you can hardly taste it. I've taken shots of it before, but I'm not the biggest fan of that.

Be careful cooking with it. It has a fairly low smoking point, so you don't want to be cooking things on very high heat with it.

I do it for the heart.

Lot of cals so be careful.

You can pour EVOO on many, many, things.

I went to pick some of this up yesterday and I have to admit I was a little nervous seeing 120 calories 120 of that is fat. I am trying not to gain too much fat while I bulk up but 120 of the 120 calories is fat??
