    Diet and training.

I mean it COULD be due to some supplements or something like clen, but that's nothing that can't be achieved with a good diet and training. I personally don't think that even looks that good...he's lean, but he has no freaking muscle.

No gym for home, work out floor with 30, but is it for 20 like 30 lb when you no lift it to be for men, for 30 lbs instead? or half is 10 for 20 pounds?

So he just went on a skinny boy, no carb, little protein diet, not a very good lifting workout regime? Obviously, I'd like to have those ripped abs, but to sacrifice all my gains in muscle mass would very much dissappoint me.

Couldn't tell you. It could just be he had no muscle to begin with and just never bothered eating enough to gain.

Don't forget that is also a movie picture though and the part may have called for that look, just like Christian Bale starved himself to play the part in "The Machinist".

It was just an example. If you want something more comprable, how about Brad Pitt in Fight Club or Snatch.

Personally I think Pitt looked the best in Troy out of all of his parts - much better when he put some muscle on.

How about Mr. Bale in American Psycho or Batman Begins. My goal for summer of 2009. I am cutting all sugar (excluding fruit) and carbs when not needed (only consume before and after workout).

Go for it, no reason you can't. Unless you mean that you want to wear a black suit and base jump off of buildings while fighting crime - in that case you're fking nuts.

MMM kinda, I am cutting carbs where they are not needed, i.e. at night before bed, or when I am resting and not about to exercise. Sugar is holding me back, sometimes I like to splurge when the family makes cookies
Not too sure about fruit though, it has plenty of vitamins and nutritents, but a ton of "natural" sugar?

I would agree that you shouldn't really eat carbs right before bed unless you're working out, but carbs are not evil.

The best fat loss I ever had came while I was carb cycling about a year and a half ago. Some people respond well to high fat diets, some respond better to high protein, etc. I found that a high protein/high fat diet didn't do much for me with fat loss and I followed it precisely to the macro for 2+ months. Don't be afraid to experiment and find what works best for you. That said I was never EVER hungry on a high fat diet, Built was spot on when she said they're great for satiety.

danzik, if you didn't lose weight your calories were simply too high.

Fats are particularly satiating while obese.

/shrug. I would agree with you, but my own experience really suggests otherwise. I tried the high fat/protein diet at calories ranging from 2300 down to 1900 with minimal progress. A carb cycling diet using those same ranges yields good results. Combine that with how my training methodology has improved in the last 1-2 years and I will see some very nice results after my next diet cycle.

It's kind of like that fish oil thing we argued about - it doesn't make sense to either of us, but my own actual real life experience suggests otherwise.

It's nothing the majority of people need to be concerned about. Fish Oil causes dangerously elevated AST/ALT (liver enzymes) in me. I don't know if it's an allergy or impurities in the oil itself, however it has happened with multiple brands.

Eventually when I'm off this med I started I'm going to buy some medical grade fish oil and give that a run then get tested after about a month to see how my levels are (purely out of curiosity to see if I'm allergic or something).

I will try something like that eventually, but right now I'm not willing to risk being taken off of these meds because I wanted to take fish oil.

I know that......I'm not willing to take them until I am off of the medication that I am currently taking that is unrelated to fish oil.

We had this argument before, so I'm not sure why we're having it again since the conclusion will be the same. I'm perfectly content eating ground flax seed for now.

If that guy took steroids or other drugs to look like that he must have piss poor genetics, or doesn't know how to eat. I would say almost anyone could be that lean, and he is not holding much muscle so that isn't an issue either. 100% do-able without drugs.

    Offtopic, but about illegal substances...

Theoreticaly, if somebody bulked up huge but desperately wanted to lose excess fat, could that then be acheived by taking alot of drugs like anphetamines, cocaine and the like, while supplimenting on dunns river nutrient shake or for goodness shakes to carry on providing protiens, vitamins and calcium while the drug strips the fat from the body over a period of time?
Just to be clear, i am NOT thinking of doing this, i am just interested in the facts and educated oppinions on this 'method' so to speak.

And another thing, my brother never works out, doesnt eat healthy and DOES take alot of cocaine, despite me trying to warn him against it, and he has alot of natural muscle that he never worked for and never loses, not exactly hench, but atleast double the size of the average guy on the street, musclewise. However, me, alot taller (6 ft 5), has rarely used illegal drugs except when i was at uni and once (for a crazy week) since beginning working out, i take alot of work to grow muscle, lose it fast, although im now pretty huge, but when i didnt work out i was stick thin, almost always the weakest in any group. Im sure its not an issue of testosterone as my level has always been high judging by how my sex drive has been and such. My only plausable theory is that i got more of my mother's genetics, as my dad is ripped and has a 6pack at age 43, and never lifted a gym weight in his life

Stimulants don't really drop fat off you - their strength lies in appetite suppression.

    Some people have amazing genetics.
