    reducing protein in diet

I have to get some liver tests done and I've been told to lay off the creating/gym supps as well as the whey PP, at least for now until the tests are competed. I can eat regular food. I've always calculated my protein to be ~1.2-1.5g/lbm in all my diets as I have learnt that I need the higher protein to be in a positive nitrogen balance. But this screws up my diet plan. I havent been to the gym in 4 months and am trying to get back this/next week. So I need some diet help as to what to do in order to continue bulking

    Grams per lb of LBM - 2.46 0.66 1.05 0.76

Why do you need to reduce your protein intake?
Wondering where to start? Confused? "Homework 1" will get you started.

Think you're ready for the "next step"? Take this test.

A few months ago, Fitness Rx covered how intense exercise - I believe lifting - altered liver function negatively. Actually, I got the impression that it shifted the thresholds rather than was actually hurting the liver. But I think you would want to look into that as you are obviously quite serious about your gym work...

I dont need to reduce it. I've been told to stop the whey. At least for now. I can up the protein from food but now I cant do a pwo shake. Unless I leave right away and go home and eat, which will still be 60-90 mins between finishing my wo and began eating.

Strange.. I was reading up on this as well but I came across info that said that liver benefits from amino acids.

That begs a different question - why do you need to stop the whey? Are you off all dairy?

He's on crack. He thinks whey is AAS.

Whey and casein are the milk proteins. If he wanted you off whey, he'd want you off dairy.

Meanwhile, drink milk and have some cottage cheese post workout.

She's right. I only do liquid whey+casein are after a workout; the rest is CC, chicken and steaks. Tastes better when you put some chocolate protein powder and Walden Farms chocolate sauce. Everything else is solid food. Powders are bit overated anyway IMO

I thought it was a silly as well but didnt want to argue with him. I plan to specifically ask why the next time I meet him as well as take a list of gym supps with me. Not that they ever bother to look at it.

I guess I just add some chocolate powder to the oats along with some milk and be done with it. Powders are easier for me as I'm not really much of a big eater.
