calorie and 40/40/20?
If I weigh 288lbs, and wanting to drop weight down to about 250lbs, would a 2200 calorie diet with a 40/40/20 split be sufficient?

I'm not at all fond of percentage splits, and you really need to know your maintenance. Can I trouble you to read the link in my sig on getting started?
Wondering where to start? Confused? This will get you started.
