Having a drink every few days
I have been diligently tracking my intake for the last month or so, and my cutting is going very well. I'm happy with the couple pounds a week that i'm losing and am comfortable with the direction I am headed.
However, the biggest sacrifice I think I've made is leaving my alcohol collection. I'm a huge wine and single malt fan and the crystal that I collect is just sitting there. I understand the catabolic effects of alcohol, however, to what extent would this slow down my weightloss? I'm only really talking like a drink or two a week--it'll be tracked and within my calorie intake etc. Would it be a big deal to have those drinks or should I just kinda push it out of the way? |

A couple of drinks per week will not have that big of an effect IMO.

If you don't compete or have to rely on body image for a living, then enjoy your collection, and yourself.

You'll be fine with a couple drinks a week, totally. As you said, you'll be working them into your total caloric intake.

2-3 drinks? Really? That sucks. 2-3 drinks will only get me buzzed. Barely.
Theyd have to be strong fucking drinks.

^ I think he drinks his wine for the love of the beverage, not necessarily for the physiological effects.

I agree with some of the other comments--2 or 3 drinks a week won't make a big difference. A small glass of red wine every night is supposed to be good for you.

As long as you don't see it as a problem or addition 2 to 3 is ok. If you are having problems, then none is good. Even though not drinking is best for you body 2 or 3 small drinks a week should not affect your weight that much.
