    EK experience # 2, The Good and Bad

    I think most forum members would agree that I am a pretty level headed and respectful members of this forum. I contribute to keeping the EK forum safe (letting the new people know when they have put too much info into a post) and post solid information on the rest of the board. This post should be seen as an unbiased review of my most recent transaction with EK.


    The Review

    First off, this post is in reference to a website order.

    They communicated very quickly and politely before the order was made!

    EK made good on the promises made in my original thread http://www.ironmagazineforums.com/eu...-good-bad.html .

    On top of that EK made sure that I paid near the price I did before the price increase despite the order being placed after the price increase [But EK did raise prices about 3 days before they said they would which is why this occurred].

    After the order was placed communication through the ticket system started to deteriorate. It became very poor. The response became ruder as time passed. And lots of time passed.

    The reship took 2 months to secure despite the order meeting the requirements for a reship as laid out by EK openly on this forum because of the DP issues. It was replaced with Scrioxx as said would be done by EK on the forum.

    Reps on other sites started to become rude and did not take action to solve the problems. At first Irish (rep here) was helpful sending me to other reps with more involvement in the company, but near the end of the transaction (recently) he started to be rude, and at one point even asked me to not place an order with EK again.

    During that time I was lied to by EK, Reps (from other boards), and the ticket system repeatedly about how long it would be until my product got shipped out. [I have the PMs and Emails to confirm this.]

    In total the order took very long to get me, Over 4 months. That does include the reship.

    They did send a reship, but I do believe it only occurred as the result of LordSKSs hard work. He did try very hard to get the ball rolling for me and eventually did. It's too bad that it took over 90 days for him to get involved. However, an offer - placing new order for different product - was made to me speed up the process which was then pulled off the table after the order was processed through the website (pending). I was back to waiting.


    Now that I have received the order, 4+ months since ordering, I am glad to say this ordeal is over
    . Speaking honestly, I did expect to open my package and see some extra goodies in there as the reps have been speaking for since the problems started to happen. There was nothing extra in this order.

    Speaking candidly, I was incredibly disappointed by this. It showed me that they truly did not care about me as a customer. They did not care they put me through hell and back to get the reship that they have stated on their website and that EK personally said was available on the forum. They did not care that I had to wait 4+ months to get products that I didn't even pay for (scrioxx instead of DP). There was no we are sorry about our fuck up here is a little something to soften the blow. It was just the cold hard reality that EK's team didn't give a fuck about what went down. It was if they didn't want to acknowledge it ever happened.

    how many times do you need to repost this before you're labeled a troll and ALL SPONSORS start watching for you?

    once again, YOU KNEW the reship policy for your country (the country you chose to have shipped to/not the one you list under your username), and YOU KNEW that your country was much more difficult to ship to......so it's not the sponsors fault since there's tracking proof that they sent your stuff.....you're that .1% of the unlucky ones......so YOU KNEW all that was at stake....you can't blame the sponsor....they followed thru on their end with their procedures that are posted in their sites FAQs.......i sincerely hope you find another sponsor that decides to work with you and you get lucky and get some gear and go away

    It never reached my country so it have nothing to do with where I am located. Its already written of as a loss, and now I will do as EK wish all unhappy customers do, keep quiet and go away. I am better off personally as well :-)

    Great write up...I like reading stuff like this to let everyone know situations like this do arise from time to time..its funny because im still waiting on the other half of my reship,that going on 9 weeks...it shows it was reshipped,so I guess all I can do is wait..all my past experiences were great,so I can deal with 1 fuck up..just hope the other half comes in...

    This is not meant to be disrespectful

    Personally, I had a great experience with EK & EL. BUT If someone has a bad experience with a company and it is NOT made right or rectified, in my opinion, that is not trolling I don't care how many times they bring it up. They're just telling about their experience. This is what makes a company. Good customer service. I guess I feel this way because I work in customer service at a federal level. In my line of work, if some one screws up, it's the difference between someone being able to eat & feed there kids OR being out on the street.

    Fellas I may be a newbie to this board but def not to this "game" I am not trolling but I do want to say that this post was helpful as I was just about to use EK but now I'm definitely having second thoughts. The game has changed a lot since my younger days. The old school guys always made right on their deals. Thanks again for the info everyone.

    Not only that but you got a reship yet!!! That shows right there they are working to keep you happy!

    You are right you did not get the whole story. I have kept the details out of the post for respect to EKs team and the safety of others. If you red the PM's and responses I got on the open board from EK, Reps, and the ticket system you would get a clearer picture of the events. It would become very clear that outside of Lordsks helping out near the end of the problem and Irish assisting in the beginning (before he started calling me a troll) that EK's team was not looking to make this right, but rather brush it under the rug as if nothing had happened. They ignored, denied, lied, and procrastinated to allow time to pass until they had product restocked stead of just telling the truth up front - they didn't have the product I ordered, they didn't have the product they offered to me as a reship and that it was goign to be a couple months before they could send it out.

    If the reps want the full story on the board , good and bad they can let it be known here. I will edit out any sensitive info (locations, and dates) but the rest can be posted. It would be a transcript of interactions between, my self and the reps, ek and the website.

    I'm gonna chime in here. I get what you're saying Pebble, I do, but it's not like you havent' posted this experience before. All you get is backlash, I've learned that. If you post an honest negative experience it either gets ignored or your motives are questioned. Personally, I have some major issues with EK and EvoLabs but I'm not going to rant and rave..somebody that ordered Evo is having the same issues, I guarantee it. I commend you for making your experience known but until it happens to somebody that's otherwise having a "great" experience they're going to tell you to "go away" or call you a liar. It's unfortunate that the negative issues get looked over as if they never happened, some reps seem to turn there head the other way thinking that if it's ignored it didn't happen. We all have a choice and other options and I'm not going to sit here and bash EK or Evo publicly, I just simply won't order from them again. That's certainly anybodys choice.
    If you don't know where your going it doesn't matter which road you take to get there....
