    Glucophage/Metformin

    Was wondering if anyone has tried their glucophage/metformin, I was going to start using it during my next slin cycle at 425mg 3 times a day.

    Or if anyone is experienced with it, what doses and timing have you used.

    It will help prevent the high blood sugar continuous slin use will cause however you have to be pretty damn careful using it WITH slin. I prefer a 5 on 2 off with slin and glucophage on we to lower blood sugar levels to a reasonable level.(this and ebetring ketosis quicker is about all its good for in my opinnion) Im not big on concurrent use. What slin you using?

    I'm using humulin r, 45 minutes preworkout, 15iu, 5 days a week. 4 on 4 off.

    I was thinking of using metformin for 2 weeks before starting the slin again and during to help with lowering my blood glucose levels. and for the receptor "sensitizing' effects.

    Ive read of using met for 4-5 days of the week, but I'm just figuring why not dose it every day, then I could get away with using less insulin and getting the same effect because of the increased sensitivity..

    I could definitely tell towards the end of my first 4 week run the effects were becoming slightly less. So I'm hoping to mitigate this effect. Plus being more sensitive to insulin is never really a bad thing.

    going hypo is and its a gda. Be careful.

    I've gone hypo before, on purpose so I would know what it feels like, its damn hard to ignore all of the warning signs.

    I would be using less slin too, maybe a max of 10iu instead of 15. slowly working up to the 10 to asses my new tolerance.

    Use it once you stop using slin, to restore insulin sensitivity
