I am 23 years old and have been battling some back issues when training for a powerlifting competition. I took a month off and have dropped 10 lbs to 148 lbs. Im benching 300, squatting a minute 350, and deadlifting(prior back problem) 550 lbs. Im losing weight, even thought i am training hard.
I have had many idea to return to a prohormone to bounce past this overall body plataeu, any ideas? I've looked at TestoRX and taking superdrol again. I've modified my diet to include 6 meals of high protein/high carb but have continued to lose weight through hard training.

Any advice with prohormones? post cycle? Im looking to get to about 170 at 5'7". thanks!

Hey guys,

Ive been working out for about 2 years now and I'm about to turn 18. I would like to know what the best supplements are that i could take that would make me have significant gains in weight and size/strength.

i have experimented somewhat with muscle milk, whey, force factor, things like that but none of them really made me see real gains and I'm in the gym close to 5 or 6 times a week. I also play hockey at least twice a week on top of that.

i weigh about 155 right now and would like to put on at least 10 to 15 pounds of muscle. (more if possible)

i would rather not use prohormone/roids/creatine if possible.

and what food should i eat to be gaining a lot of weight? and not fat (so dont say ice cream and pizza)

thanks!

Supplement Regulation In Europe

Supplement Regulation In Europe

In the U.S. many manufacturers of supplements have learned to live with the continually increased supplement regulations and FDA enforcement. However, in Europe manufacturers are concerned that many of the 4,000 or so health claims being made for supplements may be rejected by the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA), because it requires these to be truthful and not misleading! Wow, what a concept!

80% Of Marketing Claims Were Not Approved

Scientific substantiation of marketing claims is at the heart of a real controversy for the dietary supplement industry in Europe.

“The situation is very complex and difficult,” notes Patrick Coppens. The European nutrition and health claims legislation was passed in 2006, but the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) only began handing down decisions in 2009. “The standards for scientific substantiation are very high, and there are concerns that existing claims for food and food supplements will be found not to have proper scientific justification,” Coppens explains.

Of the initial evaluations completed, nearly 80% were not approved. The EFSA planned to review nearly 1,500 claims by the end of November 2009, but it has already sent back about 2,700 for further clarification! Many supplement manufacturers have indicated there is great confusion over what exactly is needed in the way of scientific data to support claims.

“It is definitely a quagmire … a lot of clarity is still needed.” says Daniel Fabricant, vice president of scientific and regulatory affairs at the Natural Products Association.

What Is A Quagmire?

Okay, if you’re as confused as I was when I read that strange word Mr. Fabricant used in his quote, then read this section.

Wikipeadia defines a quagmire as: “A type of wetland. It may also refer to a predicament or situation from which it is difficult to extricate oneself.”

Usage Levels For Vitamins & Minerals In Europe

Standard guidelines on the usage-level for vitamins and minerals is needed desperately as a great deal of variance exists amongst the many European countries. A proposal containing recommended maximum levels is expected in the near future but getting each country to agree on the levels of each will be very difficult.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – November 12, 2009 – Westminster, CA – GMP Herbal Products, Inc. has been informed by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) that Pai You Guo, a weight loss dietary supplement, sold and marketed by the firm contains undeclared drug ingredients. FDA lab analyses of dietary supplements distributed by the company were found to contain undeclared sibutramine, an FDA-approved drug used as an appetite suppressant for weight loss; and phenolphthalein, a solution used in chemical experiments and a suspected cancer-causing agent that is not approved for marketing in the United States. The FDA has not approved the Pai You Guo products as drug; therefore the safety and effectiveness of this product is unknown. All lots of the following Pai You Guo product are being recalled. The product is sold either in a box of 30 capsules or a bag of 10 g powder.

The products listed above were sold and distributed nationwide via the internet.
FDA advises that these products pose a threat to consumers because sibutramine is known to substantially increase blood pressure and/or pulse rate in some patients and may present a significant risk for patients with a history of coronary artery disease, congestive heart failure, arrhythmias or stroke.

No illnesses or injuries have been reported to the company to date in connection with this product.

Has anyone tried these free form amino acid and vitamin supplements? I've taken them in the past and they seemed to make difference. I was thinking of taking them again. However the timing when taking them is critical, according to the manufacturer. For example, many of the aminos need to be taken on an empty stomach, between meals. Some before bed, some before workouts, some after workouts. It just seems rather high maintenance, to be on such a detailed schedule for consumption.

i've been taking N.O. products on and off for a couple years, never tried ec stack. most of the time i used no xplode. i found it the best for what i was taking it for. i workout early, early morning before work, and it wakes me up with the first sip, and keeps my focus high. i heard super pump 250 is better, and gives the same effects but stronger, i tried that after, and got absolutely nothing from it. today, i started an ec stack. its been a very long time since i've taken ephedrine, but i do remember the enrgetic hyper feeling i got from it. my first dose was 25mg e (bronkaid) and 200mg c. i didnt get that jittery feeling and appetite suppression, i actually got the opposite effect. i felt tired and hungry with a little bit of alertness. i dont know if im just too used to stimulants and if i should increase the dosage.

from what i've read, ephedrine sulfate is less potent than hcl. so if i stay on bronkaid, should i double the e. to 50 mg and keep the c. at 200 for each dosage or double both?
i also bought primatene (e. hcl)tabs today to see if they feel more effective. should i take two tabs of 12.5 mg each for my first dosage or start with one, considering i didnt have much reaction to 25mg of the sulfate. and if i take 12.5 mg, can i still take 200 mg of caffeine or even higher? i need that extra push to get things going in the morning.

I plan on ordering this product in the next few days but have a few questions if anyone can help

I will be using 600mg for the first week then 800mg for 4 weeks then back to 600 mg for the final week.

I was thinking about using Anabolic Matrix and Revistol as pct for 4 weeks.

Is this pct good enough? Anyother recommendations? I don't have access to Nolva, so only using OTC products. Any products you recommend during the cycle?

I am a bit concerned with hair loss during the pct as the last time I used a a test booster (not during pct) I noticed some hair loss a few after finishing the product( Active Xtreme). Is this something that's normal? What can be done to prevent it?

Should training be altered during the cycle? Increase frequency of workouts? volume of sets? rep range? Or do I just keep my same training habits as usual?

Thanks

Hey I am under sixteen years old, whey about 100-105 pounds about five one/two tall and was wondering if anyone could give me some advice about supplements and where to get them? I am not a bodybuilder and do not wish to turn out to much like one, but I would like to look a little more fit (ie show some muscles maybe a six pack) and especially perform better in all my sports. Currently I compete internationally in squash, I am on the varsity wrestling team and play lacrosse. I wish to get some tips on supplements such as protein, multivitamins, pre/during workout supplements and every thing else. Please do not recommend anything that is unsafe for me(ie my age and weight) or that will make me gain weight (need stay make weight for wrestling) or bulk up so much i cant do cardio. Thanks!!

I went to gnc a few days ago and they recommended me accelerade, endurox r4 and as a multivitamin mega teen.

The accelerade has worked great, but not really any results with the endurox( I dont know if it works that fast.
Thanks again
PS I have used those supplements for about three weaks
PS also anything i should be taking like maybe fish oil?

Hey guys.

Just thought I'd show you these:

YouTube - LG sciences

YouTube - Bigger Arms In 60 Days

Basically, they are video blogs regarding LG products and insightful training tips. Now usually I'd be rather cynical towards these advertising bios, but, in all fairness to LG, these are pretty good. Obviously, they do plug the products in the videos, but at the same time they give us a good account of how to utilise LG products properly, how to integrate them into our diet and training, which ones are best for our specific goals and, importantly, how effective they really are. And best of all, although the majority of the blogs are from LG sponsored athletes, there are a few accounts up there from us 'normal' folk consumers who give objective and unbiased reviews (I'm not implying that the LG folks are biased, but you know what I mean :thumb:). Just of think of these vids as a visual way of obtaining info on training, diet and supplementation instead of reading it in a forum.

Well worth a look.

Once I Started Competing Against Older Competitors I Played Around With Some Juice Got Strong And Big With No Major Side Effects. I Never Abused Them Just Took A Moderate Dosage. I Have Been Training For About 20yrs...a Long Time.....lol But Still Strong And In Great Shape At The Prime Age Of 37! I Hear Alot Of The Younger Guys In My Gym Talk About Prohormones, The Benefits, And Side Effects. I Am The Product Of Old School Powerlifting Training From The 80's-90's, All We Had Was Juice And Protein. Today Things Seem A Bit More Complex, And Thought Maybe I Could Get Some Useful Advice On What Is A Good Prohormone To Take. I Am Currently 5' 8" 170pounds Very Lean, Can Still Bench Over 2x My Weight And Squat 3x My Weight. As Far As Putting On Weight Think I'm Done, Have Hit A Concrete Wall!! I Have Been Off The Juice For Many Years And Want To Add Maybe 5-10lbs Of Muscle. No Matter What I Do My Strength And Weight Never Move Up Much. I Eat About 3,000 Calories A Day Which Includes A Protein Shakes. Train 5x A Week. Does Anyone Have Some Advice About Which Prohormone Is The Best, I Also Heard Some Are Being Taking Off The Market Too. Thanks And I Appreciate Any Help On The Topic.
