I always had more estrgoen than I ever wanted. I'm actually much happier since I've passed thru a couple hormone changes related to getting older.. The estrogen levels have dropped, my acne finally stopped (after 35 yrs...), my skin isn't nearly as oily as it used to be (but by the same token, I don't have piles of wrinkles from dry skin!) and my hair can make it thru a whole day w/o getting greasy by the end of the day.

I've always used a very low dose estro/progest and had minimal issues w/ weight gain or anything else. In 2005 I tried the Nuvaring, and in 2007 I went to the Mirena IUD.
