    Baby Showers..

need advice or opinions from the ladies and even men who have had a baby shower...even general opinions work for me...first..

Do you like to have a pretty big baby shower?

How many people from each party is reasonable?

Would you "not" want people there that you do not know from his side of the family and/or friends?

    What's your reason(s)?

    Thanks in advance

Baby showers are fun, we had 2 for my little girl. One for my wife's friends relatives and one for my friends. So it was 2 medium ones.15-20 people on each.

Why we had 2? it would have been to many people at once, we live in a condo.

All you have to do is get it set up, the day of the shower her friends will take over and you just have to sit back and wait to load the car up with your booty. Good luck with the new baby.

    Right bro...the more the better...

You're right we def think different...she wants an intimate shower or small shower and since I'm latino.....any excuse for us to party...

Plus we went to register at babys-r-us the other day and almost everything we registered for was well over $150 for each item...so why not have like 50-60 please there...

Do you like to have a pretty big baby shower? It is really depending upon both of the individuals and their families. The ideal reality is for those that wish and can afford to have the party that they bring forth all of those that wish to celebrate the birth of a being.

How many people from each party is reasonable? There is usually, a person or persons that are to help cover...and pot lucks and both families including those of church folks and even as a functioning venue.

Would you "not" want people there that you do not know from his side of the family and/or friends? Wrong feeling for this celebration!

What's your reason(s)? Because this is a celebration of life!

    Thanks in advance

    Good Luck!

    Thank you!

I agree or have the same opinion about her havin the wrong feelin about this celebration as you stated...but for some reason she is stressed about this baby shower...and I have no idea why...

Right now we have lots of help and luckily we have the means to have a big, but not too big of a celebration of life just as you said...why not celebrate it in a big way...

I take the approach as it will be a good opportunity to meet more people from my side as well...plus she does not have to do shit or lift one finger for this party so I really don't know what she is stressin at this point...

I think the stress part is a girl thing. For me, I just want to make everyone happy which adds a lot of stress. Like someone said, the more the merrier. Baby stuff is really expensive.
Good luck and congrats on the new up coming arrival

I agree, Girls get more stressed about this sort of stuff than guys, I was stressed while the preparation of my baby showers, I wanted everyone to enjoy it & be happy... I think she'll probably be stressed until the day of the shower, the day of the shower, she'll probably ease up & enjoy it.

Congratulations ! Having a baby is a very special time
