I take Xanax everyday and smoke weed everyday. I also train 5 times a week. Which one is the greater evil?

marijuana has very few side effects and will be legal in ten years (though it should never been illegal in the first place) while xanax is a prescription drug classified as a narcotic with numerous side effects.

I understand both sides. But which is worse for building muscle i will take a bar and go to the gym and not even feel the effects of it.

I know this is an old post but I think this dude needs to see this. First off, why take the bar if you won't even feel the effects of it. How long have you been taking it for? A whole bar is the higest milligrams right? Go to youtube and in the search area type in benzodiazepine withdrawl and then pray to your God that you don't kill yourself when you go through it. It is worse then any opiate withdrawl there is. It is an anti anxiety medication so just imagine the anxiety when you don't have it anymore. The withdrawl is bad enough but the length of the withdrawl is devastating.

Benzodiazepine is bad, but it comes no where near the more powerful opiates. Xanax vs morphine, or heroin, or oxycontin.

I understand you are trying to be helpful to the guy, but don't spread bunk information.

Dude, I kicked heroin and methadone many times in jail. You get nothing for the withdrawls. Withdrawls from benzos can kill you from seizures. If you go to jail with a benzo habit they will treat you with klonopin. Just like alchohol withdrawls can kill you they treat you with librium. Believe me, heroin withdrawls are violent for 3 days then you go through the PAWS withdrawl anxiety and not sleeping for a couple of weeks. Benozo withdrawls effect your mind muscles (severe spasms) etc. Google benzodiazepine withdrawl and you'll see. It last months. With the opiates you will be fine in 3 weeks to 30 days.

Medically speaking the worst withdrawl you can go through is alcohol however to experiance that kind of withdrawl you need to be a heavy longtime time drinker. Benzo addiction and withdrawl happens much faster. I have withdrew from almost every substance known to man at one point or another. The seizures from benzo withdrawl are not usually true seizures as they are from alcohol typical they are full body skeletal muscle spasms painful but not really dangerous although full seizures do happen from benzos. The worst withdrawls I have ever experianced as far as how I felt were definately opiate withdraw. and by the bro you never "Kicked" methadone or Herion in jail you were just forced into abstinence theres a big difference. I have "kicked" herion as I havent used in 13 years.

Believe me, I kicked. There was plenty of dope in the jailhouse. I went in with a brand new pair of timberland boots on and could have gotten alot more dope in there for them then on the streets. What's the point though. I wasn't going any where anytime soon so I had to kick eventually. I know what your saying though.
