    Smile Anxiety Disorders

    Hey guys...

Just feel I should share my story if anyone out there on this forum is suffering from any form of chronic anxiety or depression...

First of all it is nothing to be ashamed of and having such a problem does not make you weird or less of a man...

I suffered chronic social anxiety from the age of 16 til the age of 21 (when i was medicated)...

Although i cant sum the horror of those years up in these short sentences it is safe to say it was hell for many years...

I was suffering such a disorder all the while I was playing professional sport and playing on TV and in the international arena...

Eventually I broke down and became exhausted by the disorder and the constant stress it caused me mentally, emotionally and physically...In the end I was genuinely suicidal...

I saw a GP and spilt the beans and was referred to a Psychiatrist...

I am now taking 60mg of Lexapro a day, yes 60mg...A hell of a lot! lol

Best move i ever made in my life...I am the happy, confident, peaceful human being I always knew I could be without the effects of anxiety...

Peace and if you are suffering from anxiety/depression just know there is hope and medications do actually work...
