I am so glad I saw this tonight. Maybe I should PM with Built. Let me know Marianne.

I have been on Androgel for years... But having done some cycles, I know it just isn't the same as depot injections. Luckily my insurance changed and completely jacked up the cost of Androgel from $15 for 3 months, to $80 for 3 months. I convinced my urologist (who started me on the gel), to give me Test Cyp at $24 for 3 month cost. Like Built's husband, he prescribed 200mg every two weeks. I knew that was stupid because of the peaks and troughs, and did 100 mg every week.

I figured everyone (insurance company/doctor) was monitoring how much I ordered, but what I realized was the pharmarcy was eager to get me to renew prescriptions and what really should have been a 12 week renewal, was more like 8!

So to make a long story short, I was alternating 200 mg injections, with 150 mg injections weekly, for a big WHOOP average of 175 mg a week.

I had to do bloodwork, and I waited for exactly 2 weeks after a 200 mg injection to have blood drawn....

My doctors office called me today and said my hemoglobin was 18.4 (which is high), and to reduce to 200 mg every 3 weeks and re-test in 8 weeks.

Now what the fuck do I do?

200 mg every three weeks. What a friggin' tool.

    What was your testosterone?

Curious, but how often should one get injections and how many mg? This will be useful when I get blood work done so I'd like to keep it in mind in case I'm told otherwise.

Based on my models and my research, I would recommend pinning at least twice per halflife. For cyp or enanthate, halflife is probably about a week so pin twice a week.

Abs Lady (Built) I, too, would like to sign on for this. You have a remarkable amount of knowledge and the gift for making it readable. A book might be a good idea. Tomlinson

Hello Guys, those of you doing Hormone Replacement may be interested in the following. Two weeks ago, I began a 25-day road trip, flying from city to city, so, because I'm doing strinctly carry-on, thought it best to leave the syringes, the testosterone, the Deca and HGH at home even though I have a script for all of the above. I'm in the third week and the change in mood, energy is all too noticeable. Worse, I awoke with a freaking cold this morning. Whatever small doubts I may have had about the benefits have been erased. Can't wait to get home, and return to my HRT and workout schedule. Has anyone here had experience taking this stuff through security? Tomlinson

I'm sure it is. I thought you would have felt even worse then your complaining about. If you have a legal prescription for all of the above then you should have been fine to travel with it. A prescription is a prescription no matter what it's for. Pain killers (oxycotin) high blood pressure meds, diabetic meds (insulin and syringes) etc. At least the next long road trip you won't have to feel awful. Just make sure you have your prescription with you along with doctors phone number and pharmacy phone number just as a precaution.

I checked with TSA rules/guidelines and, true, you can travel carry-on with syringes as long as accompanied by the prescribed drugs, but I also read posts on a forum that said some people have had problems getting the 23 gauge 1.5" needles through; the small insulin needles, no problem. Sounds like a potential hassle, depending on the person manning the stations.

I couldn't wait any longer. Since I have no insurance, I went and had blood work done today through a discount center that my Dr. recommended. The nurse said results should be in by tomorrow. I'll check with my doc on Friday to see if they have the results.

My only worry, is that if If I'm ever awarded insurance in the future, I won't be denied coverage for the fact that I had a blood test.
