    Levitating above my bed...? WTF!!

I experience weird, disturbing dreams about levitating above my bed, like the stuff you see in scary movies and crap. When it happens it feels like im awake but i have no control over my body. I feel vibrations and my ears are stuffy, sometimes i hear voices or white noise. It always happens when i sleep on my back. When i wake up it feels like ive been sleeping for hours but when i look at the clock, 10 or 15 mins is all ive been sleeping for. I usually will get a headache upon waking up.This really trips me out when it happens, it happens about twice every month. Ive been doing some research on it and from what i heard, it has to do with sleep paralysis or out of body experiences. But im just wondering if anyone has had this happen to them before?

I had the same reoccuring dream for years. I walk into a church and sit down for the mass. Suddenly, i start levitating towards the ceiling and speaking in tounges.

The crowd is horrified as i start slowly oscilating around towards the ceiling. I realized i was demonic from that day forward and decided to do the bidding of my dark lord.

    You should do the same.

I have had these experiences for the last 15 years as part of my daily meditation. Looks like you have accidentally and not intentionally been projecting yourself out of your body while in a trance state...you are having an out of body experience (OBE) where your soul/consciousness is wandering independent of your body temporarily much like being in a dream state during sleep. The reason why you end up with headaches after each experience is because you enter into your body too abruptly and not gradually and your body is reacting adversely to that. Don't worry about what is happening with you. Many people would consider themselves lucky to be able to do what is happening to you. My advice is to look up and read books on OBE at your local library and this will help you understand more about what is going on with you. Enjoy!!

Thanks for the Info! I heard when this kinda of event happens to you, you should try to control it, realize your in a state of trance. Then you can pretty much do anything. I dont know, i just heard that on the internet somewhere. Will that be more like Lucid dreaming? Sounds like to me its more of something out of that movie, Inception. Wouldn't that be badass! I'm looking more forward to having another OBE. I just need to keep calm when experiencing one. Thanks again and im planning to look more into it.

When I was younger i remember having dreams opposite than what i dream about now. Instead of floating i would feel like a tremendous force is on top of me. I cant move, and i'll hear the same white noise in the back ground and feel vibrations. I dont have those kinda dreams anymore, just the levitating ones.

I had this experience a couple of times, and no matter what I do Im unable to keep my composure . I just freak out and start sweating , eventually I wake up with my heart pounding rapidly. I haven't had a OBE since a good year now.

Ya, when i first had my first OBE i could not go back to sleep. I was terrified as hell. Its getting better after each one. Now im kinda looking forward to one. I wonder what will happen if i keep my composure and stay calm. I also heard that you can have intense orgasms in this state of trance. haha i read that somewhere on the internet. Having sex in mid air!!!? Thats my kinda dream lol Have you had alot of OBE's?

Wow, this is some freaky stuff. Very intriguing. My bro said he has experience OBE, but I never believed him mainly because he is a drunk and took a lot of acid, well and worships Satan. Ya, we no longer speak. Anyway, WOW! I hope it is a positive experience for you.
I use to dream that I was falling from high above, like jumping off a diving board and jumping way too high, and the feeling of falling would wake me up, scared.

I still dream about my teeth falling out of my mouth. Like they are lose and just come out when I touch them. I have had this dream so many times and I don't understand why. It is so real and frightening.
The subconscious is a strange, yet exciting thing. In college, physiology was my favorite classes.

Thanks! No worries about my bro. I have attachment disorder. Another thing I learned about myself in college. Sad to say, but I can let go of anyone in my life without a second thought. Sucks, but it is true.
I once tried to let go of Rob, but lucky for me, he wasn't willing to let go. He has a minor in Psychology, so he knows how to deal with the not so sane. Thank goodness

Freaked me to the first time, but in an excited good way. I had been meditating for months trying to achieve this OBE. The waves of tingles before nodding off is a signal for me my energy is high or receptive to OBE. With a bit of breathing exercises and mind imaging the weird noise almost like a freight train or air buffeting/humming combo begins and then OBE. I can never seem to go any where out side my room...that is next step for me.

The only hope is for the next generation. marry a vuluptuous woman of predominantly european genetics and hope that your offspring will be bigs. Other suitable genetic strains include west african or samoan.

No, only 10-20 seconds. I'd like to extend that as well.

The dreams where i dont panic as much are the ones that don't last long. But when i do panic they seem to last a bit longer.

The drugs do this to me all the time....I've always had the weirdest most vivid dreams, like movies, ones where I'm flying underwater, or meeting shamans on the moon so they can warn me of things to come back on Earth, wondering through iridescent palaces trying to find someone hiding there and realizing I'm looking for myself....
Coarse edged youth, the irish pendants string from their smiles
not yet plucked as to slacken the seams
and drag down the features of age,
no folds or creases from unkempt wear
    eyes of tranquilty, crystalline-beads
no sign of despair in their hair, nor their hearts
but oh they have yet to be experienced and that makes aging so very worth it...ML circa2012
