It is a drug. Whether is is medicinal depends on the circumstances.

It is a drug which has medicinal value in many situations, and for many people. Like most any drug, it also can be abused, and it does have negative side-effects. IMHO, it should be obviously be legal to use for people who have medical reasons to use it. Beyond that, I also believe that the war on drugs has been lost and is over, and that people have the right to make their own decisions. Given all this, it should also be legalized outright by the federal government. Pot laws in many areas of this country are draconian, and result in lengthy prison sentences and billions of mis-spent tax dollars. Remember, prohibition didn't work either.

And your opinion is about as good as your spelling ability.

Bro what are you talking about, this is not the main topic now "and" days in Cali...

Prop 215 passed over 15 years ago and even opponents have accepted this and moved on and learned to deal with it...

You claim you "now live in Cali" on another thread you posted about this same topic so I'm assuming you just moved here from some state that dosn't have medical marijuana. This is probably some culture shock for you, but if it's the main topic here in Cali it's only because you are the one who is bringing it up and making it the main topic...

You have already started 2 threads about marijuana, just get over yourself and accept it or move back to where you came from...

Weed is medicine because I smoke weed instead of taking tylenol, pepto bismol, xanax, adderall, and all the other shit everybody else takes. Weed does it all its like superdrug, but no hangover and you can still show up for work.

Well, my opinion is when prescribed by a doctor for a specific condition, it is a medicine. When you go to the local Pot Clinic and buy a bag from a fat guy in a tie dyed T-shirt looking like a refugee from a Grateful Dead concert, it is not.

Too much law enforcement time and money are wasted chasing this stuff around. Legalize it, regulate it to make a serious attempt to keep it out of the hands of the youngsters, and tax the fuck out of it. Then leave the adults who use it alone.

One more comment. I say legalize all drugs. The ones who can't handle it die off from overdoses. Sort of a Libertarian Darwinism. Then, as a proponent of "sin" taxes, tax the shit out of the stuff. We would probably clear up the federal debt in a couple of years.

How did I miss this thread?

7:49 P.M.,I'm smoking a few bowls full, so I can sleep tonight, rather than take my prescribed zoloft.

Zactly, depends on the definition of anything.

Drug n. A substance used in the diagnosis, treatment, or prevention of a disease or as a component of a medication ... Marijuana..

I was a daily smoker far around the same amount of time, and I think the emotionalally addittive qualities are obvious, along with the the problems related to avoiding the problems of life by smoking weed. Some people are able to smoke and deal with these issues, but I unfortunately was not. In my case, there was a degree of emotional growth being halted by the pot, and in order to move past that, i had to lay off the drug and deal with the issues at hand. I still miss it at times, and have very fond memories of the experiences, ant least viscerally. I still think that pot can be very positive for many people in many situations, but long term habituation can turn troublesome for some, like myself.

Don't get mad at me because you can't spell, read, write, or form coherent thoughts. At least you spelled "mom" correctly. Those words spelled the same backwards and forwards can be tricky for morons.

I'm prescribed mj for insomnia and it works great. Sure beats getting hooked on some pharmaceutical drug. I've been smoking everyday for 15 years. I have a masters degree, a career and a great family. My wife is the same. But, I do know people that are nothing but lazy stoners that give us functional stoners a bad rap. I would assume it's them and not the pot that is the cause of there issues though.

I dont consider it a hardcore drug or something that should be illegal... I live in canada its nothing like the states when it comes to getting caught with weed the cops just take it and let you go.. LOL

But the TAX they spend on people serving 15 years for marijuana possession is NUTS!!!! I think alcohol is worse for you and more people die from its use but its legal? doesnt make much sense

I'll offer my two cents on this; I have a serious hearing problem (about 90% loss now). I also have tinnitus, which compounds my hearing issue worse.
I was at a party and a joint was being passed around. I said WTF and smoked. Within minutes, literally, my ringing in my ears was completely gone. Medicinal? Quite possibly. A drug? Fffffuck yes. You'd be an idiot to question it otherwise.
