    I don't get gout flare ups, but my brother does. Imagine a simple thing like cherries or cherry extract consumption would reduce Uric acid levels & that dreaded painful inflammation.

    A basket of cherries $3.00.
    A bottle of FDA's Gout Meds Uloric $50.00

    Of course that comes with the standard cautionary warnings like: liver function abnormalities, nausea, joint pain, and rash.

    Never mind you take the Uloric because you have joint pains! And who needs that damn thing called a liver, anyway?!

    i had gout.the acid was very high my doctor said.the hardest thing was to convince my doctor that i only needed cherry juice.

    cherries help my primary gout patients but not secondary ( due to chronic kidney disease stage 4 -5) where they need something much more powerful than the cherry juice or cherries.( like allopurinol or uloric), these guys runs uric acid levels in the high teens....
