Hesitant about doing a 3rd cycle after having testicular cancer

I've done 2 sust cycles and earlier this year I was diagnosed with testicular cancer. I lost a lot of weight post surgery and from a round of chemo. I'm sure it was genetics that caused the cancer because my grandfather had it as well. My question is, would another cycle increase my chances of cancer coming back? I would ask my doctor but I know he would frown upon steroid use. I've done a little bit of research but I haven't found a straight answer.

You probably won't get a definitive answer from the doctors. They really don't know. I am one year out from prostate cancer. My T has not returned to normal after the chemo shut down. My urologist wanted to start me on a low dose HRT just to pick me up. The oncologist came unglued when she heard this. I found pub med sources that support T replacement, but the oncolgist refused to even consider them. It is a real split thinking on this in the medical community.

My suggestion is to wait for another year before thinking of doing a cycle. Make sure you are really clean before doing anything. If any cancer was left behind, going on a cycle may "feed" it or accelerate cancer cell growth.

I am pretty sure doing a cycle would be asking for trouble. If I'm not mistaken, elevated levels of testosterone can easily lead to a relapse of testicular cancer.

Thanks guys for the replys. I'm probably not going to do any more cycles but I'm def gonna miss being able to lol. It's not worth risking the only testicle I have left. My oncologist and urologist said that because the cancer was in the right one it would have a greater chance of coming back versus if it were in the left one. Good luck dog soldier and I hope you find out some better news in your situation. That's a tough situation to be in I'm sure. I wish they would have checked my T levels before and after surgery but they just asked in the follow up if I felt normal. It worries me about TRT because of how some say its bad with cancer. Most guys I'm sure don't want to be walking around with the low T sides.

I am curious now myself after seeing your post. I would research and read everything you can get your hands on. I do know Lance Armstrong had testicular cancer and obviously he juiced. Not sure if the two are related in the least bit but something I thought about nonetheless. Especially since we don't know if the cancer came before he juiced. Let us know if you have any new info.
