That could be possible. If anything I would blame my hydroxycut. I already dropped it though and sleep better. Also low carb diets do have an affect on sleep paterns.

I was taking standard (Walgreens) sleeping pills, just one a night, works pretty well. I have been off them for about a month though, same active 25mg found in Tylenol PM and others. I have never tried melatonin yet.

It interupts natural sleep patterns true, taking away from the quality of sleep. Not to say that light alcohol will cause lack of sleep, eh.

I have had problems my entire life, and I am fairly certain I know why (natural problem tied to serotonin/melatonin). Regularity is the first step, the same sleep hours every night, and ideally wakeup times - but I do sleep in a little on the weekends but I can't sleep in more than 2 hours or so over my normal wakeup time. I do nap about an hour or so a day after I come home and get a meal in me.

7 hours is the average the last time I saw a survey, 4.5 hours for night workers. I prefer to have 8 if I can.

Im was into the melatonin for a while, but it makes me groggy in the morn. I once tried some over the counter sleep pills, but they are the same. I guess im gonna have to resort to the occasional vodka shot b4 bed.

Let me know if anyone has used anything that is low on the grog side.....
