Terribly depressed

I am so depressed right now. I had a minor rotator cuff injury about 2 months ago. I rested it quite a bit, i lifted some, but i took off a few weeks inbetween. Last week i was on spring break so i didnt lift. I came back yesterday, my shoulder was fine, so i threw the football with my dad and brother. My shoulder felt weird. I cant tell if its a very very small pain or what. Its just ive taken so many weeks off of such a minor injury that i want to get back to lifting tomorrow again(when school starts back up), but i dont kno if i should start up again. Im so depressed about such a small thing that i dont want to leave my house. I keep wondering whether i will be able to accomplish my goals. I want to rest my shoulder....but i also want to get back to lifting. Im so frustrated Ive felt like ive taken enough rest, but my shoulder still feels weird. I dont know what to do...ive tried to strengthen my shoulder but whenever i do the exercises, my shoulder doesnt feel right. Im so upset...this is my passion.

Don't take this the wrong way buddy, but if this is as bad as your life gets, you're doing pretty damn good. Keep things in perspective.

The last thing you want to do is re-injure your rotator cuff. What'd the doc recommend?

Anyway, you can keep doing lower body lifts... and correct me if im wrong, but arm work shouldnt aggravate your cuff? Curls and such?

first of all i would avoid throwing motions....that is why baseball pitchers always screw up their rotator cuff....dont do that again.

active rest is always best....work around the injury....see what you can do...try some machines..modify the angles that you do DB presses or shoulder presses....if you lift long enough you are going to run into some injuries.....just learn to work around them and try to be smart so you can avoid as many as possible!

keep your head up man...you'll be better than new soon and you'll barely remember this rotator cuff shit!

My opinions may have changed, but not the fact that I am right.

When one door closes another door opens; but we often look so long and so regretfully upon the closed door that we do not see the ones which open for us.
