Body Shutting Down

Here is my story:
I recently put in a hard day of chest at the gym. This was about 2 days ago. The next day i was sore, more sore than usual. The next day I did some legs (squats mostly, real heavy, heavier than usual) and some tris. About 2 hours later My body felt really really sore. My chest was uncomfrotably sore, and my back, legs, arms were killing me to. All the muscles I had recently worked out were kiling me. Last night, I could hardly sleep i was so sore. This morning I am real achey all over and those muscles are in pain. Hurts when I am just sitting. I am obviously going to take a few days off of lifting, but if this is some sort of flu, do you guys have any remedies or things I should do to get back on my feet. Other than the soreness, I have no other symptoms of being sick. No cold, cough, I might have a temp but i can't really tell.

Any ideas, explanations for why I might be feeling so crappy. Any remedies you guys use

Could be overtraining. I've had really good luck fighting colds/flu with Echinacea. It doesnt seem to work for me in pill form, but the tea works great. I was coming down with something last week. Had that feeling you get when you're a day or two away from it. Started drinking the tea and never got sick.

But when you disarm them, you at once offend them by showing that you distrust them, either for cowardice or for want of loyalty, and either of these opinions breeds hatred against you.

IMO you have nothing to worry about.
Take some days off as you said and start reading articles about streching, it is very important. Also, donīt forget to breath while lifting.

My first question is, do you lift regularely? Kind of a silly question perhaps, but figured I'd ask anyways

Second, make sure you are drinking enough water for starters. You could have some bug... I wouldnt worry about it too much, water, protein and rest

Lift about 5 days a week. been lifting for about 4 or 5 years. think it is a combonation of a bug and overtraining

Try taking a week off, a week off every now and then does great things for the body
