STUPID acne

Is there anything i can take to get rid of this goddang acne?

I've had it on and off since age like 13. It was on my face as a kid, and it really hurt my confidence, but It really doesn't bother me that much now, since its not on my face anymore. Now i just have on my back, and my shoulders. Like i said, it doesn't bother me now cuz you can only see it when i dont have a shirt on, but i mean enough is enough. i'm gonna be 23 in a month, shouldn't this shit be going away??

is there anything i can take?

try pure tea tree oil extract and dab that on the effected area 2X day.. works WONDERS!!

also been told(not from my experience) that Vitamin B5 in high dosages helps as well.

Go to a dermatologist. Only they know what is best for you.

go to a dermatologist- that's all I know for sure. At about 16 I had a severe case of acne. It was all over my face and back covering most of my skin on both places. Then I went to a dermatologist and even the receptionists the first time they saw said "Accutane"

sure enough, the doc put me on Accutane and as soon as I cleared up I haven't had a zit since.

dude, start tanning like twice a week, I will bet you that will clear it up man. you know what my situation has been, but even before all that, when I would get a little something I hit up the tanning booth and it was the best thing I have ever doen for my complection bro, on the real. Of course don't go overboard with it.
besides that there are medications, the most hardcore being accutaine, which if you if your shit isn't that severe than I would avoid it like the plague, but if it comes to that it will help. Go get it checked out thou, seriously. and think about hitting up a tannign booth for a bit. holla at cha'boi

Hey Flex-
Hope it clears up..at 33..I still get some on my back / shoulders.
If gets bad, get out the oxy..also the tanning booth. I don't think it ges rid of it, it just makes it harder to see the red if you are not white as a ghost.

do i have to go searching the farthest forests for pure tea tree oil? (where do i get it haha?)

like i said, it seems worse than it is cuz i'm white as a ghost. but i'm going to Fla in a few weeks, and i get hella tan, so that should help. but that only covers the problem, doesn't get rid of it.

so i'm gonna try this tea tree oil, and i'll look into accutaine.

thanks everyone, i appreciate it

All the dermo did for me was prescribe me antibiotics which made me dizzy to the point where I was falling down, nauseous, and brought on severe IBS (which I have now managed to somewhat control through diet)

Tea Tree Oil, I tried that for a few days and now I literally have "craters" on one side

Don't go on accutane, I think it's way too harsh on your system.

A combo of clindamycin and another cream which is clindamycin and benzol peroxide mixed (duac topical gel) is the only thing that sort of works for me. Oddly enough I don't get the same results mixing plain clindamycin and plain benzol peroxide as I do w/ the duac.

I read somewhere, and intend to try, taking aspirin (salicyc acid) and dissolving it w/ lemon juice, applying the paste to your acne for 10mins and rinsing off.

Yeah definitely don't try accutane, it's only a last resort for very servere acne when nothing else works. Plus it's unbelivably expensive. I've never take it or anything but as the others have said have heard stories before of side effects.

i took accutane for a bit and it worked well...i took a low dose for only 4 weeks....for more permanent results it needs to be taken in higher amounts and for a long period of tme...not what i want to do.

i found that 3g fish oil...50mg zinc....100mg b-complex....1000mg vit C and a good clean diet cleared me up in about 5 weeks.....best my skin has ever looked.

for the permanent results try this combination..has to be from the inside out.

topically there are many good choices...tea tree oil is great...also try the clear and clean line from jhonson and jhonson...their persa gel applied at night will clear up most breakouts in a day or two.

on a side note....acne freakin sucks..been dealing with it since my early teens....just keep searching....i found my solution and you will find yours too!

My opinions may have changed, but not the fact that I am right.

When I was a kid I was miserable with the stuff. After a year or two of suffering I went to a dermatologist. He put me on Tetracycline, that was like the first major anti-biotic used for acne. Within two weeks the effect was miraculous, I hear accutane is even better nowdays. Taking anti-bi's with food will help with the stomach problems.................take care.............Rich

I am using the Pure tea tree oil, and soap on my chest, and it is working!!!! I think I'll be getting my chest waxed here shortly! The oil seems to be a little bit harsh, and makes my chest a little tender after a few days, but the soap alone seems to do a good job as well! Thanks all!!
