Popping in the brain?

Yesterday, I was doing stiff legged deads and going for my PB (250), which I killed but after my 7th rep, I felt a popping on the left side of my brain. It continued the next set but I finished my workout. However, I still have a pain in the exact spot. Anyone ever experience that? I bailed on my workout today and after calling my insurance company, they recommended that I go to the emergency room. But I want to be sure.

I would go see a doc ASAP. I have felt some pain in my head before when I get hit hard but there is no popping either. It’s probably not going to be a big deal but still, I would make sure.

Eyes dont really hurt, except the pain is pretty close to the front of my head. I am definitely going to the hospital. After doing some searching on the web, I think it could be an brain aneurysm.

I never felt a pop, but I got an instant splitting headache during a set. It came back each time I worked out for a week. Got an MRI(negative), yada yada. Took a week off. It never came back

So I went to emergency room. Cat Scan came back completely negative. So they said the only to be certain was to have a spinal tap. THAT SUCKED!!! After two needles to numb my back, the doctor had to stick me four times because he could get through the muscle in my back (at least he gave me a compliment before he invaded me). The spinal tap had no blood in it either, so I am in the clear. Now I am probably out of the gym for a week because the pain in my back is severe.

Glad it worked out ok (sort of) - a spinal tap? Wild stuff.

Good to know that you seem ok.

Hey, at least now you have an excuse if you become mentally ill.

My mother and my 2 closest friends all died of aneurysms. The youngest (Chris was 27, Chuck was 29, and Mom was 41) Chris had troubles like you have had (a poping feeling in his head during training) along with severe headaches. Chuck and my mother complained of very bad headaches than fell out never to regain Consciousness. In Chris's case the doc's couldn't find the exact area to treat, in spite of many types of tests so be very careful. Please note that the first doc said Chris was OK and that his severe headaches were stress releated. Make an excuse to see another specialist because this is very serious shit here.

I would take at least a week off either way. Start back slow. I don't know if this was it, but I never hold my breath anymore for ANY exercise.
