Giving Blood

Anyone ever give blood and workout on the same day? I usually give when the Red Cross visits work, but I've really been constant with my workouts and I don't want to miss. They really like my 0+ stuff.

I did, biggest mistake, maybe even ever. Got massive headache and had to ditch out early. Felt like shit the rest of the night.

I have. I just don't do anything with arms that day.

I used to give blood regularly and if was a training day would train as normal with no adverse side effects... unfortunately because I am from the UK they no longer will accept my blood... something to do with me being a mad cow I think!

Lol nice,

I have done it in the past, but the one at work wont let me donate anymore. I pass out everytime, not during but shortly after. I am a big wimp about needles, but I still went, they just dont want to have to deal with me passing out anymore.

As to the owrking out, I would be fine normally I would eat some fruit and a shake extra, an hour or so before workout. Seemed to work for me.

Thanks guys. Work totally screwed me up yesterday. I got stuck on conference calls all day and missed the window to donate blood. Then I got stuck at work late, had to help rebuild two servers,,,damn computers. So in short I missed the blood drive AND missed my workout and missed my daughters soccer practice.

Not a good day.
