To much of a good thing can be a bad thing. Also when given antidepressants they do not raise serotonin they only recirculate what is there and this is why people feel good for a bit then crash. When dealing with hormones you have the release factor and also the receptor factor. You can have high levels of serotonin flooding around in your brain, but if they are not getting attached to the receptors it is as if you have functional low levels even though you are showing high. That is why omega 3 combined with antidepressants are so much more effective. The antidepressants make more serotonin you have more avaiable, but its the omega 3 which make it more useable at the receptor level. Same way with testosterone. you can have high levels of testosterone , but if your free is so low you can have functioning feeling s if it was low testosterone this applies the same to serotonin.

whoa.I had 2 bowel movements this morning, 10 minutes after the first. The first consisted mainly of pebbles, but the second was a huge log. It was not tan either, but normal brown. The only thing that changed from yesterday was me taking the colostrum and Candida Cleanse that I purchased from Vitamin Shoppe yesterday.

thats a good signs, but remember you got the glutemine going too. Also emotions can have factors as well, but thats improvement. Colstrum will aid immune system to boost that up. Like I said the glutemine can be binding so keep glutemine where it is to rule out that variable then you will know what is what. My energy levels since starting the omega 3 are so much stable even when it is dreary out. I feel like mind is much more relaxed controling the anxiety is going to help cure the bowel problems even though the bowel is now affecting the brain. Keep one the fish oil because if you have candida that will prevent flax and other omega 3 from being converted to their active for dha/eph.

Just started loading creatine, glutemine,r- ALA. If you are weak on the outside you are also weak on the insid . You can also check your organic acid tests they should indicate the level of creatine and that is a way to verify it. To be sure your dr can also do a 24 hour urine test for creatine. I would suggest this before supplementing s you can be sure.

Creatine is made up of three amino acids - Arginine, Glycine and Methionine
you already know you are low on glycine according to the test so I would suggest consulting dr before starting creatine as long as kidney functions are good

here is your answer about leaky gut that is obvious in your testing and over looked by your drs. Remember your low SiGa that told you right there!! you had it

Glutamine increases the growth & absorptive capacity & is the main fuel source for the cells lining the intestinal tract. It is critical for the maintenance of proper gut metabolism, structure & function. The cells lining the small intestines consume Glutamine at a voracious rate, using up to 30% of the circulatory pool. Glutamine deficiency results in hypoplasia of the intestinal absorptive lining & dysfunction of the intestinal immune system. It helps maintain normal Secretory IgA an immune substance in the gut.

Studies show that Glutamine helps promote healing of impaired gut mucosa , such as with ulcers, ulcerative colitis, & Crohn’s Disease. It enhances bowel function when there has been partial removal of the intestines & improves overall survival in gut originated severe infection.

Certain bacteria, fungi, & parasites can also impair the intestinal lining disrupting the optimal intestinal barrier functioning, & causing increased intestinal permeability ( the leaky gut syndrome). With increased permeability there can be increased allergy reactions to foods, & increased predisposition to autoimmune problems.

Also, the bacteria which live in the GI tract can cross the disrupted mucosal barrier to infect other organs in a process called bacterial translocation, so Glutamine can help prevent this serious process.

Explains what role glutemine has in candida a major one

since serotonin is in check you just need to bring up the others in order to do that adding Nacteyl tyrosine at 350 once or 2 times a day will help this since it is a building block for those 2 transmitters nor and ephederine. Also to low b-6 could be a factor since your amino acids may be there but are not getting metabolised as b-6 is a cofactor. But again consult your nutritionist, next step see where your amino acids are at with urinalysis this will see if you are absorbing protein.

Because if you are lacking in amino acids you would not be able to repair your tissues. And if you are low in certain amino acids then you do not have building blocks for your brain chemistry. I just used it to confirm what organic acids test was only slightly showing. The Organic acid test should low normal amino acid metabolism, but when I had the amino acid test it was more revealing and just more so confirmed malabsoption. Thats why I wanted to see your organic acids test and see what was over looked. Let me take a look and if I see some thing you may want to bring it up with drs and see what they suggest. It may not even be necessary, what i am saying if your transmitters dropped like a rock then 2 things could have happen, medicine did it or your not getting amino acids to build from or the lack of b-6 can be making a big impact as well
This is what piss me off about drs when you see a drastic change nothing is done and they assume everything is ok and its not. Its not there life and I swear its like drs do not want you to get healthy other wise they be out of a job. Dr I used to go to just pushes pills and has to look up in books when I used to have to ask himquestions. Do not get me wrong there are alot of caring drs out there, but it just seems like we got dealt a bad hand from the start. Justin I think you can get through this pretty much on your own since you know what the problem is and the root cause. I belive the connection is the healing the leaky gut with glutamine and colostrom. By the way loading on colostrum would be good becuase its just to help healing faster is all. I 2 doubled up as well on it. Kill the candida - herbals and cocconut oil/creme will help reduce carb craving and kill the candida in the process. TRy to get to gym and do cardio so you can sweat out toxins since skin is largest organ.
tyrosine - norepherphine - ephepherine
co factors is b-6 for neccessary for this conversion

Did you fax over those test results ?

I had a similar situation that continued for a year......than I gave up my acrobatic carreer.
Anything I ate would give me grief -especially veggies(raw) and fiber .Fiber just bloated me because I was contipated.milk of magnese helped with that, then I only ate meat for months.Strangely, that was the only thing I can digest.Especially raw calve's liver.I could not have ANY artificial food, including protein bars or things with artificial sweeteners in it.I did coconut oil,but while it did not screw my digestion,it triggered my eating like spoonful of sugar-I'd worry my friends by eating jarful of this stuff.
Eventually,I introduced steamed veggies, than raw,and other foods. It's funny how all the test and doctors never seemed to be able to help me.That was my meatarian experience.Seems counter intuitive-but that's what my body did....and now,I can eat anything again.....back to my protein bars and chicken breasts with veggies......no more strange cravings !!!
Anyhow,I think it's emotionally related.Like traumatic transitional time.Oh..and drinking aloe is soothing also.If you can find one to carve up and eat.

My doctor thinks i might have a genetic liver disease... but i have to have more tests... i'm seeing a specialist now... let me ask you a few questions... was your liver function high? and if you go out drinking, do you get hang overs? I can drink all night long..and be up at 6 am fine... not a sign of a hang over.. bad thing is.. I'm not supposed to drink! (what kind of cruel joke is that!) anyhow... has he mentioned doing a liver biopsy? I'll probably end up having one soon. I won't worry though... it's not worth worrying about right now.. just try to relax and if your doctor doesn't seem to listen to you, ask him to refer you to a specialist.

oh yeah, and started taking wellbutrin later......I was too depressed. It was my last resort, since I'm not a big fan on pills....but it works!!! It's nice to wake up and not think,"you know,it be good if I died today".The thought hardly ever cross my mind at all these days.I don't take action to kill myself, but it's no good to have lack of enthusiasm for life.
Anyways,it's also a sexual stimulant....talk about having enthusiasm....

I agree some people need medical intervention, but if you are lacking the nutrients and building blocks you are not going to have the ability to create the transmitters. You can not build a mansion if you do not have a strong foundation and this is what drs tend to over look. Depression can be of nutrient, mental or biological one. For example i showed low serotonin levels on my urine test, but also I had extremely low tryptophan levels as well so this points out that lack of building blocks are my problem from maldigestion. Also to anti depressants also need serotonin to up regulate as well. If you do not feed it the proper nutrients to create the proper transmitters you will not get full benefit of the medicine. We are not born with a wellbutrin deficiency, but in some peoples cases it is a life savior as you indicated. Thats why chinese medicine treat the liver as a source of depression becuase thats where all the neurotransmitters are actually made at!! So if your liver is over loaded from enviromental toxins, emotioinal stress then it will impact the livers abiity to make them. What bodybuilders tend to over look is that we suffer depression more so then the average people becuase what little we know is that the building blocks such as serotonin can not be absorbed when there is a low carb, moderate fat diet. The reason for this is that L-tyrptophan competes with other amino acids for same receptors and by eating higher protein diets we deplete our selves over time of this essential amino acid and we do not can not make serotonin becuase lack of it. In next 5 years people on low carb diets are going to look great and be healthy but suicide rate and depression are going to be on the increase as you notice it already has been. Drs have been giving out antidepressants like they were peds instead of addressing the real problem life stlyes and stress management. Even with my serotonin levels off the charts i refuse depression medication becuase i have learned to deal with it through mediation and relaxatioin techniques. Once I heal my intestinal lining i will be as good as new

What is “Leaky Gut Syndrome?”
Every once in a while, one will hear the term “leaky gut” in relation to some health condition. It conjures ugly images of the body’s internal plumbing system “leaking” inside secret and hidden body cavities or outside creating a public nuisance or mess. Of course this is only a slang expression for a condition that afflicts many people these days.

The “gut” refers to the entire alimentary canal. The alimentary canal is a 33-foot passage or tube that connects the mouth to the anus. The alimentary canal is where food enters and waste exits the body. This canal is really quite complicated, delegating different tasks throughout the course of its journey. The two major divisions of labor are 1. digestion and absorption of nutrients and 2. elimination of wastes. Leaky gut refers to a problem with the first division of labor—digestion and absorption.

Basically what happens is the lining of the small intestines becomes damaged, causing it to lose its inherent integrity which allows “macromolecules” to pass through the lining and into the blood stream causing a host of problems in the body. These foreign particles settle in joints and other areas creating pockets of toxins throughout the body. The body recognizes these large particles to be “alien” and then attacks it waging a territorial war. This war zone manifests as inflammation in various parts of the body, one common area being the joints.

Another problem is the damage effects the villi in the small intestines, as well, that are responsible for much of the digestion that happens in the small intestines. This creates a condition of malabsorption of proper nutrients, which effectively starves the body, especially the immune system. A host of symptoms and health issues can result from or be aggravated from this phenomenon which will be listed in part later.

The question, then, becomes, “How does the small intestines become damaged in the first place?” There are a variety of explanations for this scenario. Any circumstance that leads to an inflammatory condition in the lining of the canal will create this damage, for example, candida. When the common unicellular plant, “yeast,” grows out of control, it produces a rhizome state with “stringers” that punch a hole in the lining of the small intestines. This hole allows macromolecules to enter the blood stream before they can be fully digested and broken down into usable particles for the body. One of the primary suspects for leaky gut syndrome is always candida albicans.

Other conditions that can result in intestinal lining damage include fluoride in water and tooth paste, intestinal parasites, food allergies, intestinal dysbiosis in general (bad bacteria, etc.), use of certain prescription and nonprescription drugs, alcoholism, stress, inadequate secretion of pancreatic enzymes or HCL, lactose intolerance, gluten (wheat) intolerance, heredity, chemical exposure, heavy metal exposure, chemotherapy, X-Rays, etc.

One other category that must be emphasized here is “junk” food. Junk food is “fast” food, pastries, candy, pop, manufactured and highly processed “foods” like TV dinners and other prepackaged and prepared foods. Junk food generally causes inflammation in the alimentary canal by encouraging candida growth and by the presence of so many food chemicals and preservatives. To add to the problem, junk food does little to nourish the mucus membranes to create tissue integrity.

With so many possible causes, the problem becomes coming to a determination of what one’s own major underlining cause could be. This can be done with a good naturopathic or homeopathic doctor. If one cannot afford a doctor, it may be advisable to at least start the process of healing by eliminating many of the above aggravating or causative factors and perhaps self-treating for parasites and bacterial infections with herbs. There are herbal combinations that can be used to help detox from heavy metals as well. Adopting a sound diet with proper supplementation can do much to help one heal from the myriad health problems that can be associated with leaky gut syndrome.

To restore your intestinal mucosa to health:

1. Minimize or eliminate the things that can irritate your intestinal lining:

Food allergens
Candida albicans (yeast) overgrowth and other dysbiosis
Parasites
Alcohol consumption
Unnecessary medications
Stress
Nutrient deficiencies (recommend supplementation)
Digestive enzyme insufficiency
2. Consume nutrients that sooth and heal the cells lining the intestine:
Quercetin (an anti-inflammatory—from herb)
L-glutamine
Vitamin A
Vitamin E
Slippery Elm tea or capsules
Aloe Vera
Licorice root
Golden seal
This is certainly not an exhaustive list but can help start one on the road to recovery. There will be instances when complete relief will only be realized with professional help.
You can suspect leaky gut syndrome if you have the following symptoms:

1. Gastrointestinal symptoms (irritation, gas, bloating, etc.)
2. Arthritis
3. Skin problems (eczema or hives)
4. Lung problems (asthma, etc.)
5. Food allergies
6. Chronic fatigue
7. Fibromyalgia
8. Poor digestion
9. General weakness
10. Auto-immune problems
11. Etc.

Many health problems can be concurrent. For example, the above list is a list that can be written for chronic colon problems and a lack of proper elimination that can cause or result from any of the foregoing. Usually when one has one problem, the other problem exists as well.

When the body is properly cleansed and nourished, it will usually come into a natural balance of health and well being without having to try to balance out a multitude of factors as is usually the case when you go to a doctor. However, there are times that we do need outside help to get us on the path to total recovery.

Well I haven't felt much better on the Candida Cleanse, colostrum, or l-glutamine. I got Candigest Plus yesterday in the mail, which is another form of candida killer. I am still waiting on the insurance to approve my Cortrosyn stimulation test for my adrenals. If these supplement fail, I will give up because I do not want to suffer anymore.

Since starting the Candigest Plus, my bowel movements have increased to twice a day. I also notice that about 30 minutes to an hour after ingesting the Candigest Plus, my face gets very red, like blush red, and I start sweating. I hope this is candida die-off.

I researched that ingredient its is really good. Also to justin your histamines in your urines tests where high as well, this would explain why your other 2 brain transmitters dropped. Histamines actually suppress your adrenals and cause fatigue.

YOU NEED TO DISCUSS THIS SHIT WITH YOUR DR ASAP...Some medications do more harm then good..

Blood histamine levels can be analysed and often, the compulsive obsessions, blank mind, easy crying and confusion may highlight an underlying chemical addiction to cane sugar, alcohol or drugs. Histadelics experience high saliva discharge and rarely have cavities. Often they are seen wiping saliva from the corners of their mouth. Excess histamine presents rapid oxidation in their body, and their high metabolic rate and subsequent attractive body shape are sometimes potential indicators for the underlying condition. Marilyn Monroe was often heard to remark to photographers: "You always take pictures of my body, but my most perfect feature is my teeth - I have no cavities."

A high sex drive characterises the histadelic, who achieves orgasm and sustains it easily. Drug addicts and alcoholics also tend to be histadelic. Heroin and methadone for instance are both powerful histamine-releasing agents. A severe insomnia also characterises the condition, and sufferers often use heavy doses of sedatives in order to get to sleep. The sedatives themselves often become an addiction problem, further compounding the plight suffered by those with depression.

DEPRESSION - THE NUTRITIONAL LINK
Traditional psychiatric treatments are mostly useless for the histadelic depressive. Electroshock, examined in detail in Part 1, traumatises the patient further. Lithium in lower doses of 600-900mg is partially effective, but does not have greater efficacy at higher dosages. Anti-depressant drugs are simply mood ameliorators and can be addictive. Nor do histadelics respond to B3 mega-doses usually recommended for schizophrenics. B9 (folic acid) definitely worsens the condition.

What has been shown to work however are treatments which modify how the body releases and detoxifies histamine. Calcium supplementation releases the body's stores of histamine and the amino acid methionine detoxifies histamine through methylation, the body's usual method of breaking down the neurotransmitter. Laboratories can test for histamine levels in the blood and this is often one of the first best steps a practitioner can take to determine if histamine is a player in their patient's depression.

Maes et al also found that serum levels of zinc in 48 unipolar depressed subjects (16 minor, 14 simple major and 18 melancholic subjects) were significantly lower than those in the 32 control volunteers.

HELPING THOSE WITH SUICIDAL TENDENCIES
The major problem with those suffering from chronic depression is suicide. Today, such family members are often consigned to psychiatric care, which, as we have seen, can create problems of its own for the patient. Research group Truehope states:

"One of the particularly tragic outcomes of a mood disorder is suicide. Over 90% of suicide victims have a significant psychiatric illness at the time of their death. These are often undiagnosed, untreated, or both. Mood disorders and substance abuse are the two most common. Around 15-20% of depressed patients end their lives by committing suicide."

In times gone by, caring family members gathered around and gave the depressed relative the assurance and attention to talk things through. Often drug addiction or substance abuse were key factors. Today, with the fracturing of the family unit, the denigration of religion, and the separation of many families from each other with the hectic pace of 21st century life, psychoanalysis has simply taken over the task of counselling that used to be carried out by caring relatives or the neighbourhood minister. I strongly believe that this has had a deleterious effect on our society, in view of the medications prescribed which appear to have a quieting effect, but underneath are propagating a roiling of the emotions.

I further believe that a neighbourhood pastor/minister, or the equivalents in the other religions, also have a pivotal role to play in maintaining the mental stability of their parishioners. It simply has not worked the psychiatric way, with psychiatrists themselves, as we have seen, committing suicide more often than the public they are supposed to be treating. Later in this book, we will examine motivation and the spiritual issues connected with taking action, which have been so able to assist those suffering from depression in regaining control of their lives and starting forward once again.

Justin start out slow with the methionne like 500 mgs for 4 days see how you respond. MAKE SURE YOU TAKE A GOOD B COMPLEX. I just started sam-e but I know that my one level is ok, but i am taking alot of b-12 methylcobalin, folinic acid, p5p (activated b-6) to reopen the blocked pathway which will increase serotonin and reduce histamines.

calcium releases histamines into the blood stream and methionne removes them

low serotnin = high histamines ...

So I try to drink a gallon that per day...its not so hard to do since it taste real good. There is many flavors to pick from, and it goes down MUCH faster than water.
