Post Lower back pain

Every time I stay for a long time, 1 hour or more, standing up. I get lower back pains.
I went to the orthopedist and he said that everything is fine with me. My posture is quite good. So, I am vieopefied.
The usual answer doctors give to me is that because I am tall (6ī3") I get those pains. That canīt be right. Every tall person has back pains?
No PreMier, I am not faking the pains to get morphine.

I actually mean standing up. Walking, running, doesnīt matter.

I am 6'3" as well and YES I get lower back pains from standing for a long time. I also get them from holding my son while standing up if I do it for more than maybe 5 mins at a time. It has been hurting me for a while whether I keep my back very strong or not and my doctor has said "well, nothing we can do". I went to a new doc about it on friday and I will get xray results on tuesday. My bet is that the pressure of either gravity or the extra weight of holding my son puts pressure on the soft tissues in the area.

I don't know though. My brother is also 6'3" (we are the same height and build) and he also gets the same pain from the same things as me.

I can't explain it. I just don't know. I am currently blasting my back harder than any part of my body just because I hope to strength it and build up a slab of muscle. Maybe in building up that muscle I will slowly strengthen the bones and connective tissue that are hurting.

That is what I am trying to do. Build if possible, stronger muscles in that area. I wil take some X-Rays as well.
At least we are tall.

Do you stretch your lower back much? That usually helps me keep pain away from there....

Just a thought.

I'm 6'5". When i worked security at a club a while back, i'd be doing a lot of standing all night. My lower back got sore the first couple weeks i worked there, but after a while it went away. I'm thinking it was due to a weak lower back. It could also be poor posture (are you drooping your shoulders forward?).

I will do that as a preventive measure for now on. I usually try strecthing when it is too late.
