    Adrenal Glands

WHat are the symptoms of drained adrenal glands? How can you test for this? (blood/urine)

After reading up on this subject, I see that just about anything rises your cortisol level in turn draining/exhausting your adrenal glands(stress, worries, caffiene, leading the same regime everyday) does the same amount of harm to your adrenals

It shows that everyday stress such as the ones I stated above cause incredible damage to the adrenal glands causing a rise in cortisol. This is much alike the long use of a supplement. I wanted to know if it was the same kind of damage.

Yes, stress, depression, overtraining, they all cause increase in cortisol levels. I didnīt know that long use of a supplement would cause it as well, I donīt think it is true.

Cortisol is produced in the adrenal cortex (note the name cort)
Epinephrine (adrenalin) is produced in teh adrenal medulla. Now I didn't do any research, but I don't see the connection, assuming your talking about your adrenalin being "drained".
Give us a little more info.

I know they're both considered "stress" hormones. I guess, if your constantly exposed to "fight or flight" situations your adrenal glands might not be able to keep up with epinephrine production. Still seems like it would have to be a pretty extreme situation.
I don't know, I still ain't buyin' it. Sounds like a supplement co. using scare tactics so you will buy their super, duper adrenal enhancer caps - take 6 12 times a day.

ephedra and caffeine can cause overstimulation of your adrenal glands over time leading to adrenal burnout...baically meaning they lose the ability to produce stimulating hormones on there own for a while....just like your testes shut down test production if you take roids.

cycling stimulants like ephedra keeps this from happening.....and yes cortisol can go "unckecked" when you are in adrenal burnout, not a good thing.

Get plenty of sleep at night, meditate if you are into that sort of thing (i think it really helps), try not to use stimulants except pre-workout to minimize the amount you take....and licorice capsules help the adrenal glands recover faster...as well as some formulas designed for this reason....just dont spend too much on them.....licorice is pretty cheap at GNC if you want to try it.
My opinions may have changed, but not the fact that I am right.

When one door closes another door opens; but we often look so long and so regretfully upon the closed door that we do not see the ones which open for us.

i can help you with this because I have been from one end to the other. Number one thing if you adrenals are drain on top of your foor where the tongue of your shoe lies may be very tender, also the web between thumb annd pointer finger will be as well. if you are gaining fat in our mid section or having insomnia then cortisol levels are abnormal. If you are starting to loose strength in your lifts. Seasonal depression can mask adrenal problems as well so you may want to increae vitamin D to 1000-2000 ius a day. If you are on computer late at night this will lower melatonin levels at night and when this happens cortisol levels go up and you have insomnia. So factors to look at are envriomental, thermal, emotionals, phyiscal, chemical stresses. More so coming into winter time peoples thyroid tend to drop as well as depression tends to hit due to lack of sunlight and disturbs diurnal cortisol pattern. If face is puffy, appetite goes up, blood pressure, lose strength, start craving carbs, increased infections then you have slightly elevated levels, low leverls you feel fatiqued can not think straight, digestion is slow, constpated, and feel like being alone then you are at low phase.

Find an alternatove dr have them check
dhea, pregnolone levels, cortsiol total and free, tsh, free t-4, free t-4, reverse t-3, testosterone,
24 hour salvia test from great smokies can also give a better indication.

DO NOT FUCK WITH THIS...GET IT TAKEN CARE OF NOW. Because other wise it can and will shut your systems down one by one and it is not a pretty thing and drs do not recognise it untill it is a disase. They is not gray areas in drs eyes.

Found out I have arthritis in knees. Heard exercise would help to get rid of the arthritis. So, I need to get to the gym more. But,it seems I'm always tired...used to work a lot of shift work so i took alot of stims. Just ordered some Reset AD. Hope to get some energy back and get to the gym again...or is this the wrong way of going about this?
