    what are the differences between subcutaneous fat and visceral fat? i know visceral is the deep fat thats a bitch to get rid of and subcutaneous is right under the skin. are there any main differences between the 2? thanks.

    Well visceral fat doesnīt affect body fat measuraments and that is all I care about.

    other questions im curious about.....

    does cardio burn both types of fat?

    how does your body decide which type of fat to store the excess cals under?

    That's backwards. The subq fat is harder to get rid of, but is less dangerous as far as contributing to heart disease. The body takes the visceral fat first and dumps it into the blood to be either used by the muscles for fuel (fight or flight response and stress) or to settle out onto the blood vessel walls. That's why stress kills.

    It sure as hell does. It increases the core girth and body weight. Skin fold measurements are not entirely accurate for that reason.

    Only if you look at body fat in the medical perspective, not in the bodybuilding perspective, since it is inside and you canīt feel it. Who cares about health anyway? Give me some barbecue and let it fill me in with some sweet and tasty visceral fat.

    But you can see it. Internal fat will make your waist bigger and make your gut bulge.

    Yeah but it is supposed to be an uniform increase so it means bigger six packs.
