Got blood profile results and ~~~

One item that stands out is my IRON. Normal range is 40-155. My iron count is 167..... I have not had a problem with iron before.

Any ideas what might have caused it to go up? My diet and all hasn't changed much over the years. Supps are basically the same.

The other thing is Test levels. Serum is 764... normal is 241-827 but the free test is 24.3 and normal is 7.2-24.0... mine is just past the high mark. Should I be worried about the free test score?

    Thanks
I love the sound of clanging iron in the morning. It sounds like victory.

Give blood. It will reduce your iron levels (so I'm told).

Giving blood may reduce your iron levels. Be sure that your supplements dont contain iron. Men's multiple vitamins should be iron free.

Obviously we dont lose blood during a menstural cycle and, in general, that i the only way we lose iron. Otherwise it builds up in our system, sometimes to unhealthy levels.

Try to find the source of your extra iton intake and cut it back some.
My opinions may have changed, but not the fact that I am right.

When one door closes another door opens; but we often look so long and so regretfully upon the closed door that we do not see the ones which open for us.

What do you mean, what kind?

It was just a blood testosterone test. The free test. has (direct) next to it.

I cant give blood. I have had Hep. Also, they cant use iron rich blood.

I was told one way they use to treat it is by drawing a pint of blood a week till iron levels reach acceptable levels.

I guess they just toss the blood.
