"the second head had been capable of smiling and blinking but not independant life"

    what the fuck?????????????

does that mean it was a completely different person, just using the blood supply off its twin? if so, doesn't that mean that just killed it?

The smiling and blinking was just nervous stimulation from the brain of the live child. Any signal that travels a nerve is electric, and that action potential must have somehow gotten into the brain of the second head to stimulate those actions.

"Independent life" would mean that the second head was producing its own brain waves, which it wasn't.
