Nosebleeds (...thats embarrasing to post)

Compared to other people's problems this kinda seems like small fries but here it goes.

For the last two months I've been getting bloody noses two or three times a day. It doesn't matter what I'm doing, washing my face, doing frog-jumps (Coach's favorite punishment) or just sitting on my ass I get them all the time.

Does anyone have any advice? Has anyone here had anything similar? I know I'm not a big bleeder cause I get cut at school all the time (diesel mechanics) and I don't bleed excessivly or anything.
And just so no one has to ask, I'm not snorting anything.
Any ideas? Are there any vitamins or something I can take?

Have you checked your blood pressure? Some people get them chronically and eventually cauterize their blood vessels up the nose.

Recurrent nosebleeds can be just something as innocuous as an aberrant blood vessel in your nose or more worrisome medical problems. The two that are foremost in any doctor's mind are high blood pressure (as Mudge mentioned) and acute leukemia ( in young adults) so a simple blood count and blood pressure check are in order.

I also get them. Just by sneezing I bleed.
I was also told to get the vessels quarterized, I am going next month to have it done. I'll let you know.

You can say that again.

But I agree. I get them semi-frequently in the cold as well.

Just joking, I get it in the bad weather because of the heaters at work and radiators at home.
Dry heat is the worst for us nose bleeders, I usually get nose bleeds.

When I'm out in the cold I don't get them. It's when I am indoors with the dry heat.

I used to get nosebleeds ALL the time. I think quitting smoking has helped me tremendously with them.

I think you might be anaemic. Do you eat your greens???

My brother about a year back was nosebleeding like the aorta led to his nostrils n he found out he was anaemic through bloodtest. Was given a couple of iron tablets and boom the blood was gone.

When you wash you face during the day, get a little water in your nose.. That will keep the inside of it moisturized and refreshed.. It worked for me!
