Cardinal--look into a Health Savings Account (HSA) with a High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP)--if you're in good health and would rarely use your health insurance, this is the way to go, IMHO. Especially if insurance companies are giving you shit they'll probably put you on a higher deductible anyway. If you have any questions about these, I'll answer as best I can, but just run a general search for HSA's and you should be able to find companies in your state that provide them and answer any questions. Personally, I'm 26 and healthy: I pay less than $100 a month in premiums for my HDHP where the quote for a "normal" insurance plan premiums was over $300 a month. Just a thought.
