If this persons legs are unbalanced walking will cause unnatural curvature of the spine to the right or left.

I discovered recently that putting a pillow under my back and keeping my back arched helps a lot.

So many uses for pillows.

manic makes a good point.

It might not be from sitting at all. A problem like an ingrown toenail that has been ignored a minute too long, or a pair of shoes where the support inside is worn and flattened, could cause a person to adjust the way they walk to compensate for the pain or discomfort, which could affect their positioning of the ankle/knee/hip, which could affect their posture to accomodate... left unattended or ignored something that seemingly minor and easy to fix could cause huge discomfort or permanent problems, imho.
