It is a myth. Only feels thicker when it grows out. Normal hair shaft is tapered, thicker at root and thinner towards tip. When we shave it at skin level, the part of that particular hair is the thicker end so when it comes out of skin it feels thicker. Waxing pulls the whole hair out, so when hair grows back in it is whole new hair with soft tip.
All I know is that I have been shaving my head for five years now and when I do let it grow a little................... I am still bald!

But the more you shave, the more you use shaving cream. Of course they will say that. What I'm trying to say is that, if you pay an organization a million dollars to do a research, you're going to want to get good results.Originally Posted by PreMier

Well then, explain this to me.....years ago I had a bike accident and scarred up my shoulder right after that a couple of long hairs started growing there..wierd.
Then I was stabbed on my neck leaving a 5 inch scar and all along it I have hair growing out of there...gross.
