So it turns out, that my own suspicions about me having low test levels are correct. Went to the doc. cuase i wanted to get tested and find out if that's what the problem is and it turns out I was right. What sucks is that I'm only 17 years old. I'm going back to see the doc. this week as a follow up to talk bout my options i guess, which means I need test. replacement therapy. Has anyone had any experience with this? I guess i have either the choice of an oral gel, creams and injectable liq. obviously. I'm just wondering if anyone tried the other things besides inj. and what your results were. From what I've read, inj. are the best and safest and the orals are appearently extremely expensive.

If your Doc puts you on this therapy at 17 then he is a quack, get a third and fourth opinion first.

What does that have to do with it? It's a problem and no matter what the age, and it has to be treated. I had tests run and I have low test. levels and I need the therapy to bring them up to normal. It's not like I'm getting excess test. in my body. Oh so what if it were next month I was 18? would that make some big world of difference? No offense man but I would like to see your doctorate in medicine that what makes you qualified in these type of decisions.

If you want to stunt your growth ( premature closure of the epiphyseal plates), then have at it.
I noticed you didn't mention that you have several unrelated Doctors confirming this course of treatment. I don't need a medical degree to know you should get several opinions before partaking in a potentially dangerous drug treatment.
Do a 5 min search on steroids and teenagers on the net and you will find the side effect I mentioned...along with some exaggerated bull shit.

Actually, you know, I think you're right, I should get a second opinion. Didn't mean to come off as an asshole either, I just felt that with blood tests and such that it was accurate. She wants me to see an endocrinologist too, and I was suppose to start the therapy this week. I may hold off now. She said when she got my results back, that my levels were at 140 and she says a good norm. for someone my age is 200 but I've read on the net that normal usually starts at 250, but it has a very broad range.
She also said I have high cortisol levels too and that's what prompted her to want to go to the endo. I think my low test. levels are genetic or may have been caused by my eating disorder.

There might be other options to test replacement??? HGH maybe, but I know little about Growth Hormone.
You have to make Doctors tell you "why", they usually don't give out much information about their diagnosis. They are to busy trying to fill their patient quota, and to arrogant to spend time educating their patients and giving them choices.
