    Pulled neck muscles

I was doing some heavy lateral DB raises yesterday and i must have pulled a ton of muscles in my neck and some in my traps and upper back near the spine. It still hurts this morning and its hard to turn my head from side to side. Any suggestions as how to heal this quickly?

Rest and stretch. Some Advil might help the pain.

i used to get that all the time. it will come about from the wierdest exercises, you just tensed up too much and pulled something. RICE - rest, ice, compression, elevation...the most important ones being rest and ice.

    Heat

I pulled a muscle in my neck yesturday when i was simply stretching when i woke up. I was sent to the emergency room by my family doctor. The Doctors at the ER put me on Muscle Relaxers and Loratabs. They also told me to keep heat on it constently, and to stay away from ice unless there is swelling. Also for swelling simply take Aleve.
