Thread: Hives, help please!

i started busting out with hives when i started smoking every day. i never got em before, probably because i didnt smoke that often.or maybe it was because i upgraded to chronic everyday. i stopped smoking last week and i noticed i havent been getting them as often. maybe marijuana does cause hives. i dunno

I had the same reaction when I innocently tried a hemp hand cream last summer. In a matter of less than 30 minutes, I had hives over arms chest neck and upper back. Not fun. I was able to wash off and remove much of the offending allergen.

You have a reaction not to THC, but to the hemp components. Abvoidance is key if you don't want recurrence. The brief return of the hives was due to the short acting effect of the systemic corticosteroids. You might gain some relief by use of skin creams for skin rashes.

You produce natural endocannabinoids ('feel-good behavior modulators) that are closely related to THC, which is why you metabolize it to its active form and it has physiological activity. Not likely that you would become sensitized to THC itself, but highly likely that you might become sensitized to other phytochemicals present in the oils of Cannabis.

same thing is happening to me... i just recently started smoking and ive only been smoking chronic. the next morning i was coverd in hives, mostly on my thighs and stomach. then i smoked some herb the hives went away. then my high was gone and the hives came back...so i smoked again and they went away...idk wtf is going on or what i should do.

Are you eating something while you're baked that's making you break out in hives? Maybe getting the munchies for stuff you don't normally consume?
