    Kidney discomfort

Hi, over the last couple of months I have been on a high protein diet and also taking creatine and some other supplements , I have recently had some discomfort in my right kidney. It hasn’t been pain more of an ache, does anyone also experience the same and does anyone have any advice on dealing with this?

Do you actually feel that is your kindey and not your stomach or another organ? How do you differentiate? I mean, when I have a headache, I know it is a headache because there is pretty much only my head above my neck.

I agree get it checked out you could just have a kidney infection, but thats for dr to decide and lower your protein a bit give kidneys a break for a week and see how you feel. might want to up water intake up 1/3. are you on alow carb diet because muscle break down or stress cause extra stress to kidney. Could also have pulled a muscle as well , but go to dr to be sure. Cranberry extract should help.
