    squats and scoliosis

    hi everyone..
i hope you could help me out on this dilemma..

im 24 years old male, and recently diagnosed with mild scoliosis..

im a male 24 years old, and about three
months ago, was diagnosed with a mild scoliosis of the
thoracic spine (15%)..my specialist told me that
because i already have a mature spine, and because it
is mild, it is unlikely that it will progress..since
im quite interested in taking weighlifting seriously,
i asked her if my scoliosis would be a problem..she
said that it would actually do me good..i asked if i could
do it competitively, she said she sees no problem in that..i
however forgot to ask if i need to avoid any
exercise..i have moved to another place now, and could
    no longer reach her..

i want to do squats, deadlifts, barbell rows and good mornings
as part of my program.. i worry however that this might put too much
strain on my back and cause my condition to get worse..

hope you can help me out.. please..

    you can't call her office?

I would check with her if I were you.

That being said I have people with mild scoliosis squat, deadlift and bent over row without any difficulty.
