    Sleeping Problems

Just started working out about a month ago. Since then i find it hard to sleep. Either i cant get to sleep or when i do i wake up in the middle of the night then cant get back to sleep. i go to the gym early in the day an hour after breakfast. i feel tired pretty much the whole day. but then when i'm laying in bed i just cant sleep. does anybody else this problem. is it caused by working out. And if it does will it wear off?

Are you taking anything with caffeine or something similar? Under a lot of stress? It could any number of things causing you to struggle with sleep. When I first started lifting again, I needed more sleep. Now I can get by with no trouble, with a lesser amount. I do know folks who have had issues sleeping as their body adjusted to working out. Have you tried a nightly routine to "ready" yourself for bed? Whether it be reading, taking a hot bath, having some herbal tea (non-caffeinated), there are a lot of ways to relax yourself before bed.

I have had the same problem ever since i started workin out about 2-3 months ago. I always had no trouble sleeping, but it seemed once i started takin protein shakes b4 bed it would keep me up. I stopped with the shakes and still have trouble. Now I just use real food about 3-4hrs b4 i go to bed....

I'm a little better, but do still have restless nights on occassion......possibly because of my g/f.....but not cause of what u think....but because she can be a dumb bitch....somtimes.....

Try not to use your bed for anything else but sleep. If you do anything else while on it like watch tv or go on your laptop, your body will not think of it as a place to sleep and calm down. So I've heard.....

Haha yea the Bills do stress me out this year. After each loss i'm stress and wanna kick the tv in lol.

But yea i'll try to lower my sodium intake. Last night i didnt drink my protein shake. i just made sure i got it from solid food and it seemed to help. was still kinda hard getting to bed but when i did i didnt wake up in the middle of the night.
