Lose weight & adjust your stride.
Anyone else have this problem? I am in relatively good shape, just let the diet get out of hand. I would guess I am up to 20% body fat but no more than that. I have been heavy in the past but this time my inner thighs are much more developed and the result is that my inner thighs rub when running. It gets down right painful in no time at all.
I have tried everything I can think of!! I even went to the Doc and he thought it was jock itch but I have been using the cream for 2 months now. Any ideas?

KY makes an anti-chafing cream... I SAW IT ON TV OK![]()
I get the same problem sometimes. It could also have to do with the type of laundry detergent you use or soap you bath with. Sometimes your body will react to certain soaps. Just another thing to consider.

Thanks for all the good advice and replies! Never thought of using KY for a anti chafing cream? Anyway I must also tell you I am a older lifter(43) and not used to the idea of using compression underware. Picked some up tonight and I will give them a go. I was still a old fashioned jock strap guy.
As for being a older member. Yah, I have been around here almost from the begining. Prince and I have not always seen eye to eye and out of respect for his GREAT!! web site I went my own way. This site has really grown! I am really glad to see it has done so well.

For when you are running, you can either wear clothes that prevent the rubbing or just rub something like desitin on it. Stinks but it is super effective even in hot weather etc.
You might to send Dale a pm on this. I know his mom had this problem as well as some itchies on her special spot.

My legs are big enough that they always rub together. Like HAN said, spandex.. like those Nike bike shorts work wonders.

thanks again for all the replies!! I have bought some spandex and they do seem to help.As for jock itch I went to the Doc and he perscibed a cream, but that was 2 months ago and I have been using it for the most of that 2 months.
I think the spandex are going to do the job even though I am not thrilled with wearing them. It just seems different to me. Thanks again everyone.
