My Immune system is horrible lately! WHY?

Ok so here is the deal.... I have always been very healthy as far as staying active, eating well, sleeping enough, and NOT getting sick. I may get sick once or twice a year with nothing more than a cold. This is my third year of college and I have kept the same track record of sickness. I have brought my level of fitness up over the past few months and now I find I am always ailing from something! I sleep more that I used to, eat even healthier, excercise more, and take vitamins to the point of hating pills. Why do I keep getting sick? Are there any supplements for immune system boosting? I take a multi, fish/flax/borage, glucosamine, and protein shakes with protein and glutamine. I list these b/c I didn't take them in the past and I am not sure if there is any connection. I have had full blood and urine work done to try and figure out whats going on and I don't have mono and the docs say everything looks really good but they don't know why i stay sick!

Do you drink(alcohol) or eat a lot of red meat? It could be your body is not in proper pH balance. Incorporate some wheatgrass into your diet.

Maybe you need to shock your immune system, like they do in training. You are being too healthy, it is time for some other things.

I tried a new doc today and found out something I didn't want to here. Other doctors had overlooked a certain ailment and had given me medicines for minor ailments. It turns out I have chronic recurrent tonsilitis (sp?) so I have some different meds and a appointment with a specialist- yeehaw. I am just hoping that the RIGHT meds will fix the problem and I dont have to get my tonsils (sp?) sawed out.

I believe they use laser surgery for that.
I am looking to do that myself once I find time to do so if they OK it.

Unless a person has an issue with it, i dont think they recommend taking them out like they used to. right?

Thats bullshit. A doc told me in late september I had the same thing. I went to bed one night and didn't wake up for 2 and a half days. I also never get sick, same healthy lifestyle as you. It's probably some weird bug going around at school, because i was at college when I got "tonsilitis", had more symptoms of mono but was gone in 3 days. I will put money on it that its something going around at school.

Your right about that but in my case I have had a problem with them since I was a kid. There are times I can't swallow and now I started noticing these little white balls lodged in the tonsils crevices.
It causes no pain but I stinks!! I feel ashamed to even speak to people face to face now so out it must go!

turns out I have mono.... the specialist told me to just live life as usual and wait for it to leave. that may explain the immune thing as well as my lack of energy! This sucks!
